Nothing - Freewrite

I still remember an event that happened about eight years ago as if it were yesterday.

I was sitting in my room reading one of the books from The Dark Tower anthology.

The Dark Tower is one of my favorite series from Stephen King.

It has action, intrigue, mystery, science fiction, and horror all wrapped up into a fantastic story.

I had the lights off in my room. I was reading the Kindle version on my computer.

I had just finished taking in a particularly spooky paragraph when I suddenly realized that I needed to urinate.

There was a period of time when the water pipes had broken at the house I was staying at so we were unable to use water for several months.

It was a trying time.

I stepped away from the computer and headed out into the backyard. There was a spot by the fence that I would occasionally urinate at and then pour water over.

The fence was a ratty wooden job that had been built haphazardly. Certainly not a very pretty sight.

We kept several flower pots and stone statues along the side.

One of these statues was of a giant green frog.

As I headed to the back of the fence I noticed the green frog against the left side railing.

I unzipped my pants and began to release when I thought I saw a flash from the corner of my eye.

I turned my head quickly and was quite alarmed to see that the frog was no longer standing directly against the side of the fence but had instead moved over about 1 and 1/2 feet to the right. It was also about 5 feet closer to me.

I kept urinating because I wasn't quite done yet.

Closing my eyes, I said to myself.....

"You're just feeling a bit spooked out from reading that book, that's all."

I shook off and zipped my pants back up, then turned around to head inside.

As I turned around I jumped about two feet in the air.

The frog was literally right behind me.

No one else was out here.

No one could have moved that frog. It didn't make any sense.

I ran back inside and shut the door quickly.

Nothing.

It was nothing.

To tell you the truth I can't imagine what could have happened to that night.

Was I simply seeing things that weren't there?

I guess I'll never really know.

You are welcome.
Please help me @jeezzle

maybe the giant frog statue is a ghost that can move places, I can imagine the atmosphere you are telling this @jeezzle, because I myself very afraid if the night alone, let alone have to leave the house. really scary ...

Well I couldn't say for sure. You could be right.

It may have been nothing trying to tell you something. Always listen closely to everything, even nothing

This is great. Reminiscent of a scene from one of my favorite King books!

I appreciate you saying that.
