RE: Day 299: 5 Minute Freewrite: Tuesday - Prompt: grief

in #freewrite6 years ago

Hello friends!!!... My take on the prompt..
In the kitchen of her small apartment, under the dim light of a light bulb, Ana prepares the table for dinner. He is not hungry, but he knows he has to eat something. Suddenly, his eyes are fixed on the dishes he has just placed. Then he breaks down crying. It has been two years since his beloved husband passed away and, without realizing it, he has set the table again for two.

Grief is the process of emotional adaptation that follows any loss of a loved one, although it is a difficult stage, ONLY who has gone through that bitter trance can understand how much it hurts. It is an experience so hard that the human mind needs a considerable time to assimilate it.

It is true that, when we lose a beloved being, life is never the same again. However, there are many things that we can still do for others and that can give us back the joy of living.
