Several people that I know love to go to garage sales and flea markets to find hidden treasures. They are masters at identifying and purchasing antiques and valuable items to resell at a 40-100% markup. One of my most impressive buys from a flea market was a red vase that I purchased for $10.00 and later discovered that it was worth $250.00.
I also love to watch a television show on HGTV called Flea Market Flip, where two teams are given cash to go out and buy items to re-purpose and flip at a higher price. The team that makes the most profit selling their items are the winners and will generally win $5,000.
It is amazing to see people with creative design skills turn what appears to be someone else’s junk, into wonderful useable items. I guess it is true that, “one man's trash is another man's treasure.”
I hope you enjoyed this 5-minute freewrite story that I created using the prompt for this day “flea market” created by @mariannewest in the#freewritewriting challenge.

Thanks for reading.
I also love flea markets and second hand shops. It's like a magical Easter Egg Hunt.
Curious on how you found out the value of the vase ...
I'm not a TV watcher, so is Flea Market Flip still on ?
Thanks for posting this. It's nice to know others like flea markets.
Happy Steeming.
I looked up the vase on EBay to see what it was worth. The show still comes on on Fridays and Saturdays on HGTV. Thanks for reading.
some people have made a very good living that way. congrats on the vase find!!
I love flea markets and second hand shops, I also have found some great deals while shopping. I haven’t found anything as valuable as your base though.
Hidden treasures, what a joy.
Hay personas que detectan la belleza de cualquier cosa destruida y cuando la colocan en sus hogares lucen geniales. Eso parece una capacidad especial. Saludos
