I choose not to point a finger.
But don't think my lips are sealed either.
You will not also find me mouthing hate.
I will just pen things that will force masses to ruminate.
Creeping on their screens at a close range.
My words will bleed democracy and some change.
Chanting slogans of Mau Mau and unity.
Reminding my fellow countrymen of integrity.
Greedy lot don't belong in our country's front lines.
They might decide to sell us out while trying to avoid some fines.
I decided to pen today's prompt- some change as this piece. I don't like politics but tension has been high in my country (Kenya) since our August general election was nullified.
Inspired and provided by the lovely @mariannewest :)

Good writing! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Simgirl ❤
Great free write! I often wonder how many of our problems would vanish if greed wasn't an issue.
That word... greed. Thats what's rules Africa and especially where I am from. I worry about our future all the time :(
Thanks for the read :)
Thank you so much!! I have been following the story and the unrest and the low turnout for the second election...... But when I first read it, It could be applied to the US as well. different, but the same. Politics are (and maybe always have been) crazy all over the world. Even more important that we as people stand together!! Thank you for your writing!! And for writing with us :) Today's prompt: https://steemit.com/freewrite/@mariannewest/day-13-5-minute-freewrite-prompt-crazy
Politics are crazy and not in a good way at all. But I believe they are worse in Africa. Greed here has ranks and my country ranks up there with the worst!
I appreciate your read and I am quite humbled to be a part of #freewrite! :)
I am so glad you are writing with us. And yes, I agree. It is worse in Africa - the countries have been so long disrupted through foreign interference and so much crazy things have happened in the recent -
well, recent as in decades - past. I am hoping that peace among the people will come to your country soon.
