A Travelling Path Part 5 /Helpless

Don drew his sword with a metallic cling. Motioning for Lucy to get behind him, he never took his eyes of the dark-cloaked figure before him.

The stranger glanced into the bush whence he had come. Doing so his hood fell to reveal man with a white scar across his jaw. He had golden brown hair that fell to his hazel-green eyes. He struck a awesome figure.

Don heard distantly a steady booming sound. He could feel it vibrating the ground beneath his worn leather boots. He glanced at Lucy and hoped it just him. She bit her bottom lip nervously. Then he knew it wasn’t just a random tremor from Krystall Point. It was borks.

The stranger turned toward them again with an urgent look in his eye. He drew a dagger from beneath the folds of his cloak and held it in his other hand. Without further ado, he tore down the road as fast as he could, which was very fast indeed.

Don ran after him, practically dragging Lucy along with him. Her small legs weren’t nearly as strong as Don’s military-trained ones. She would’ve been a bit faster though if she didn’t feel helpless and frightened out of her wits. Borks were vicious, callused, red-ish skinned destroying machines. They had no mercy whatsoever with their bloodied clubs and rusty cleavers. And their were half a dozen not twenty feet behind them.

Thanks for reading part five!
