I thought I’d try a poem for today 😊
We drive along
These old worn paths
With snow chains tight
Down clear paved roads.
Wandering through
The sunlight dims
The pavement cracks,
Roadblocks standing firm.
We notice routes
One old one new,
A familiar
Or the unknown.
Wheels slowing down,
Tilted to left,
Then tilted right,
Choices, ours to make.
I know two lines don’t have the right beats but in the spirit of the five minute freewrite I didn’t want to edit much (plus I couldn’t quickly think of a way to make it work 😅).
This is my first quick freewrite poem, and the first poem I’m sharing on Steem, so I’d appreciate feedback if you feel like it.
