Do you ever stumble upon a word or topic that leaves you drawing blanks? Yeah, that’s what “monkey’s wedding” does for me. Nothing but a blank stare. I mean, taking the term at face value, monkey’s wedding is a made up term.
Monkey’s don’t do weddings.
Monkey’s fight for alpha male status and then take their mate.
There’s no nuptials.
There’s no royal hoopla.
No crazy chariot ride.
No swinging through vines in the jungle.
There’s the pecking order and then they procreate and raise their young.
They also like to throw their poo, but that’s another story altogether.
Monkey’s wedding.
Such an odd phrase.
Maybe “monkey’s wedding” has some other pop culture reference that escapes me?
Maybe “monkey’s wedding” is a regional phrase that is unbeknownst to me?
Who knows?
Monkey’s wedding is a funny phrase that makes the mind race which. I guess, was the entire point of the exercise.
When it comes to strange prompts, Google the oracle is always my first port of call.

It is an South African term for when it rains and the sun shines at the same time.
But I liked the prompt to get some thinking out of the box going :)
