It baffles me how nobody thought to double check though.
Often the error is one only a native speaker will spot. Sometimes an error of style, sometimes an error of tone or of grammar. Native tranlators are expensive, so a Google translation gets called in. To be fair, the Google translation is usually pretty good, but short sentences often do not translate well. Still, you do get the gist of the message, and at least they did try to translate for the English foreigners.
