The wildly popular Super Mario Run is now available for play on Android devices since March 23. Super Mario Run enjoyed some big, early success when it exclusively hit iOS devices in last December. The game was an instant hit with Apple device users, racking up 40 million downloads in its first four days to become the fastest-selling iOS game in the history of the App Store. But the game's pay-to-play model may have turned off many consumers, and the overall reception was mixed. Company president Tatsumi Kimishima said that sales from Google Play Store failed to meet Nintendo's expectations.
I would almost be more inclined to recommend Super Mario Run if it were a free-to-play game that pressured you into in-app purchases. But before you spend $10 to unlock it, you can only play the first 3 levels. ( If you haven't tried it, you can have a look of it by downloading Super Mario Run apk here. )
Nintendo says no to free-to-play, despite poor Super Mario Run sales. Nintendo has admitted that Super Mario Run, which has only recently been released for Android, did not meet sales expectations. But the company is refusing to admit its pricing was a mistake.
I agree with this review, I'm still having fun enough playing Pokemon Go.
Pokemon Go is an unbeatable success compared to Super Mario Run.
