I'm a big fan, but haven't had time to start watching the new TV season yet. I read the books first, so I'm always a little frustrated when they make changes, as I pretty much always prefer the original version, although some of the changes are understandable given the limitations of film. My biggest objection to the show is I feel they really weakened the characters of Arya and Jon, who are my favorites. Arya isn't as logical and deadly, and Jon is often downright whiny on the show. They did do a fantastic job of capturing Tyrion's personality though.
Arya's story from the books is incredibly powerful. When she is trying to survive at Harrenhal, I could feel the fear coming through the pages.

I have just one suggestion to the writers.
Add just one line of dialogue about how everyone knows that children age faster as Winter approaches.

Awsome to see some game of thrones content here, I am obsessed myself and am planning to write a series of histories from the dawn of the targaryan dynasty, up to the present day, do you think this is somehting people would be interested in? i'm rather new to steemit. :P
Haven't read the book but watched all the episodes including yesterday's. GOT is probably the biggest thing on TV these days.
I read in an article that they would be creating only up to 8 seasons, It's season 6 now, so, I wonder if things are going to escalate really quickly.
i have not read them either. I tried to start after the first season. Started the first book but stopped. I liked the characters in the show and didnt want to spoil the story. Also the book people cant enjoy the show as much as those who havent read because the are constantly comparing.
Yeah, That tends to happen to almost all of the movies or series based upon books. Movies/Series can't contain everything from the book especially parts like description of the feelings the characters are having unless the feelings are narrated which might or might not work.
Ahhhh I cant read this thread yet as I dont have season 6 yet, my internet provider and TV dont have HB whaaaa whaaa.
I will have to think away round this problem and be a hero to my wife who wants to desperatly see season 6
