While I admit that it indeed a power house of a machine, it doesn't seem like a necessary step up at this point. This is something that only true die hard Xbox fans will consider getting. Most people haven't even made the big switch to 4k t.v.'s yet. Microsoft is too far in the future right now, i think that they should have held this back until next year. I will say that original Xbox compatibility is a plus though, and I can't wait to see that take flight. Finally a great decision with no foreseeable backlash. Great Post

I agree that Microsoft is playing in the future at the moment. I think that they want to be leading the charge, when it comes to 4K, since they were late to the party when this whole HD adventure started. Sony took a big risk and leap into the future with the release of their Blu-Ray and look how that turned out for them. Microsoft might be a bit of the same with a more safe approach. I'm really excited for the backward compatibility though.
