I hang my grow lights from eyelets in the ceiling and run a thick string through them and hang the lights from the string. That way I can lower the lights down to within a couple of inches from the soil and raise them as the plants grow, keeping the lights just a couple of inches from the tops of the plants. That keeps them from having to reach for the light and becoming leggy. From everything I’ve read about grow lights, as long as the light is a balance of cool and warm tones, it will be as close as you get to natural light, and keeping the light as close to the plants as possible will keep them from reaching.
