Today I'm grateful for our family, two and four-legged. :D I'm grateful for the beautiful sunshine that poked through the clouds on and off throughout the day. :D I'm grateful for the spaghetti we'll enjoy for supper tonight, once my handsome husband and son get home from work. :D I'm grateful that the potato harvest is almost done and we'll be getting back to having supper at a decent hour, eating at 2030 hours probably isn't great for us, but its got to be during harvest time if we want to eat together. :D I'm grateful for our chickens, the younger hens are starting to lay more consistently and the pigs appreciate the extra treat. :D I'm grateful for our pigs, I'm going to miss them when they're gone, but I've really enjoyed them this summer. :D I'm grateful for our little herd, our beautiful Belle (1) and her handsome son Leroy (2) enjoying a bit of mother/son bonding time over a meal, in the picture above. :D I'm grateful for the gorgeous sunset we had here tonight. :D I'm grateful that I got some nice photos of it to share in my #ulog tonight. :D I'm grateful for these and for all the other blessings in our lives. :D Most of all, I'm grateful to God for blessing us with another day to share. :D
God bless you all. :D Have an awesome day everyone! :D

You cattle looks very strong and healthy. Great job on your part!
Welcome back my friend! :D Thanks for visiting. :D
I'm so glad you think so, we have a tendency to pamper our animals, treats every day all summer long, with treats most days during the spring, fall and winter as well. :D Its not so great for our bank balance, but the animals all seem to appreciate it. :D Thank you very much. :D
God bless you and your wonderful family. :D Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! :D
I bet they do appreciate it. I grew up on a farm and I'm considering getting a few cows and a bull again.
I hope they do. :D Its hard to tell some days, I really wish my brain would translate their clucks, oinks, moos, and barks, it would very interesting to understand what they're trying to say, because I'm sure they're saying something. :D
I can't imagine not having animals after having them this long, life would be surreal if they weren't here at all, and our lives would be pretty boring without them as well. :D
I hope you find the perfect animals for you and your family to enjoy soon. :D
God bless you and your wonderful family. :D Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! :D

Hi,
I wasn't lucky enough to grow up on a farm (city guy here) so I was wondering why the large cow has a chain around it's neck? Never saw that before.
Thanks for taking the time to visit, read my post, and make a comment. :D
Hello there, I was a city gal myself until we moved out here and bought our homestead almost 12 years ago. :D That's a good question, its basically their collar, all the cows have them on, we tried the cloth collars that they had at our local feed store but they kept breaking them and getting into the feed bins, and other things they shouldn't have, so we had to go with something sturdier. :D Its a nice thick chain and we use it to stop them from getting into the other cows feed when they're stuck in the barn all winter, they've only broken the attachments like the quick connects that we hook them to in the barn, but thankfully those are easily replaced and none of them have broken these collars, yet, LOL. :D
Please feel free to stop in for another visit or to ask other questions any time. :D
God bless you. :D Have an awesome day! :D
