Seriously though, have you considered that all of Haejin's followers are really Haejin? I've been here two weeks and I've already built a bot. The python piston/steem code is incredibly easy. If someone has the money and the know how, it's a no brainer to set up and run thousands of accounts from one terminal. It would be quite easy to emulate many Steemit users, and seem like you were many people. It would explain quite a bit. One could easily write code that allowed them to post as any of thousands of accounts just by typing in the name from which you wish to post into some python code, which could be run from a single terminal. Simultaneously One could run code that caused all these thousands of accounts to resteem and upvote all content from a single 'Haejin" account. Albeit you would need some money to get started, to set up the accounts and give them a proper amount of SP so their upvote counts for something. Maybe 20 or 30 K would do it. I don't know. I just know it's a major flaw in the system and it seems someone has found a way to make millions from it.

10,000 followers is not very much, I don't think haejin uses bots. His youtube has 15k subscribers.
I don't get how or why there is such a level of hatred for him. Is it just crowd mentality? People are writing satire about him as though he is a dictator?
I follow him and I upvote all of his posts because he has helped me. Other people do this too.
I think he deserves the money he is making.
There are many users on this platform far more malicious than haejin.
^ Could this be Haejin?
That acid is still groovy after all those years,WOW!
god you are so ignorant

Thank you.
Now its time for me to do some research!
Btw: Pol Pot, Mao and Stalin have been said to be as bad as Hitler.
Hell is empty. All the devils are here.
That's what my dad used to say.
Yeah..........
yes man
here they r all
Explain how I am malicious?
I really don't know much about you man, but dedicating a post to trash someone as well as his following isn't exactly the best solution
Trash talking? I've been harassed, threatened, slandered, and flagged non-stop for over a week from him and his goons.
I'm the #1 flagged account right now.
Yet when he made a post telling everyone to remove witness votes from me I got 25 or so witness votes. I've done a lot of good here, and I will continue to do a lot of good. No amount of harassment, slander, downvotes, or threats changes that.
You can see in the last 24 hours the amount of witness votes I got in support of me.
This was a satire post to make a point about how bad things are.
Well, all of your posts from the past 3 days have been haejin related. I can't really blame him for retaliating, I am sorry his goons harrassed and threatened you though.
Witness votes are cool, it doesn't mean you are always right though. I don't think Haejin is the problem, I think flagging is the problem. I myself have been flagged heavily by bernie just for trying to defend haejin.
It needs to stop being the stupid two sided argument this has become. Solutions should be presented instead of two opposing campaigns bashing their heads against eachother.
I'm sorry you feel you have been treated unfairly, you are not the only one.
Most flagged because you choose poorly!
Your repugnant too!
Sanders and the cat are one and the same
I call your bluff, please show PROOF. This post is showing facts and you're throwing out guesses. Proof, please.
I think I could get behind the fact the haejin isn't the biggest issue. I think bid bots are overall more harmful. I think it would be hard to pinpoint a specific user that takes a piece of the reward pool like haejin does though.
Haejin does take a lot of the reward pool, there is no denying it. However, the number of people who follow him and upvote him is only going to increase, so it will only get worse.
Steem needs to come up with a solution, because it isn't haejin's fault.
Some say to limit his posts to a certain number a day, though this would not allow him to make time sensitive price predictions. There are a lot of coins he tries to cover.
I think the reward pool should simply be bigger, as it wouldn't take away from haejin's earnings.
Sounds kinda counter productive, if the pools were bigger, it wouldn't change the effective precentage of the pool, and what spending power that would be.
Imagine if instead of $1 for a candy bar it was $100 and for every 1 dollar you earn it is actually $100 does that change anything? The "cut" you get would be the same, even if the numbers change, because the numbers are arbitrary, if he wanted to do up to the minute predictions, start a livestream show or something, you don't have to spam post. What they should do is limit posts in a more serious manner to 4, after 4 posts your rewards will diminish until 6 where you basically are forced to deny payout. Anyone who actually has something to say should be able to do it in less than 6 posts a day.
If the reward pool is larger and haejin recieves the same amount he is currently getting he would recieve a smaller percent. I don't need the lesson on numbers, and I disagree that they should lower the number of posts.
Haejin shouldn't provide us with less content just because the system is broken. The system should be fixed.
Then you shouldn't be mad at the flags because the flags are designed to counter these things. It's not that it's broken it's that it is decentralized, and self-governance is an important role. Flags are not a bad thing. Why is someone upset that they'll make 10 grand a day instead of 30 grand
Flags are a bad thing if they are abused, which they are clearly being abused. Steem isn't perfect, it can be improved.
Also you missed the fact if the if overall reward pool is increased that his revenue would increase because it is a percent of the pool, not a specific value of it.
Posts limits ehh? Brilliant! You have been deemed to have reached your limit of comments, Good Night!
Wonderful shit post, I was wondering why it just oozed personality, decided to check out your blog, it doesn't look like you've ever had an original thought in your body.
Have a good life, and have fun on steemit.
10k followers is not a lot? I understand that it's relatively low, compared to others, but it's still an enormous amount compared to the day-to-day user who has to fight for their followers. I hope for the good of all of us that things get under control.
He has been fighting for a long time to build his following, and has promoted steemit and encouraged his followers on Twitter, YouTube etc. to join steemit. He has worked hard and now it is paying off for him..
He currently has about 28.000 followers on twitter and almost 19.000 followers on YouTube, and many of those followers are now on Steemit, so it is not so strange that his posts are so profitable, he gives his followers exactly what they want and so they upvote him...
All that is fine and dandy, but a large portion of his rewards are due to his own self votes and dedicated votes from Rancho. While it is his prerogative to do so, it is also the community's prerogative to correct those actions in accordance with each individual's wishes. He should respect the wishes of the community and not lash out for people downvoting him.
Damn near everyone upvotes their own content... if it was faux pas to do so, there wouldn't be a little button allowing it.
Dude, learn before you talk. He shouldn't be making 10x more than anybody else on the platform. It literally states as a reason for flagging. To do it because you disagree with payouts.
He was getting over 1% of the reward pool which means it takes a ton of rewards away from the rest of the community. If not for his greed, he'd allow some rewards to go back to the community. Is 10k+ a day acceptable to you? For his work?
Learn. Read. Don't jump to a conclusion. He's bitching because he can't make 10k a day and you all follow him like he's a god.
And BTW, 90+% is ONE guy... And this guy downvotes anything that sheds light on any fake accounts? Why? To hide the bullshit that is going on in his secret community he's made so he can siphon millions from the blockchain.
This has ALWAYS been something people disagree with. Especially from whales who have a huge stake in the platform and shouldn't be doing self distructive actions.
Follow him like a God? Nice assumption you made there while sitting at your computer telling me to Learn and Read before making a comment. Perhaps taking your own advice would serve you best in this instance.
Edit: I noticed that you're upvoting your own content.... do you see the irony and hypocrisy in this?
I think he downvotes posts about fake accounts because there aren't any fake accounts. I think his reward is completely reasonable given all the people he is helping.
You and some whales may disagree with his payout, but it is not reason to start a massive flagging war. As I said before, steem has people far more malicious than haejin.
I think there are plenty of solutions to this, not just attacking the character of both sides. Limiting accounts to 3 flags a day is a good solution.
As for upvoting his own content, literally everyone does this. Bernie has upwards of 20 bots with SDP generated from systems of upvoting content. He is literally paid to make himself money.
Haejin having a single alternate account (or whatever ranchor is) with a large stake does not seem like that big of a problem when compared to abuse by other users.
Always applying for that brown shirt!
By that same logic, if it was faux pas to to downvote, there wouldn't be a button to allow it and it wouldn't be listed as the 1st reason to flag.
Ummmm it isn't though, so your comment makes no sense.
You people are all pissed off because he's upvoting his own content, so you downvote him, and then you get all pissed off when he downvotes you back.
You people are a part of that cycle that you're all bitching about.
Then neither should you!
I haven't. Ever.
.
Seriously? I understand you may not agree with something another member has to say, but that's really uncalled for. There are plenty of ways to argue your point of view without resorting to vicious insults.
This type of stuff in the first sentence doesn't really help. We're capable of having a more adult conversation. The facts alone are enough for us to prove our points (for either side)..
Hard work, something scammers don't appreciate.
Interesting point you make. I'm sure bots are part of it. Probably mostly built by his fans or just people who want to piggyback on his success. I think it's a good thing that there are people making shit tons of money on here though. Some of his content is interesting and useful.
The very fact that the system is open to attack is is actually on one hand a good sign as it indicates that we still have decentralized freedom. Only a centralized authority figure could attempt to thwart a botnet. But could a "good bot net" fight and conquer a "bad botnet"? This question frames exactly where we are in this day and age.
My solution:
Create a type of curve, perhaps a bell curve, in which voting power increases to a cetain point but then begins to exonentially slow it's increase in power as an account gets closer and closer to "whale" status. This will take a large chunk of voting influence away from the "whale elite" and put it back into the "dolphin middle class" where it belongs.
like in many games each level gets harder to achieve. I like that Idea very much it allows new people to grow quickly giving more incentive to keep going while making veterans in the space work harder to increase there level.
Interesting idea.
I actually think flagging is a poor solution for anything. It's a band-aid but not a real solution. A real solution would fix the problem so that flagging would be unnecessary.
How would that work with something that is decentralized?
This is a completely bullshit and backwards idea. You realize flagging takes VP like voting does right? It still hurts the person to flag?
And if this person made 60 accounts, and he admits it, doesn't try to hide it, and shares his wealth with them. That is much better than someone who has 100's of accounts with free delegated Steem by the Steem account to boost his own account. And then LIE about it.
You are brain washed or Haejin. And considering you are one of the most upvoted people inside the circle of Haejin. You scream being Haejin or an accomplice.
You can't deny the accounts that systematically upvote haejins post like a script.
How does 3 flags a day make sense? You want to say Haejin deserves all his upvotes because people can do whatever they want with their SP right? To upvote?
Then anybody can do whatever they want with their SP to downvote.
You sound like a corrupt politician trying to make his immoral ways legal.
.
Yes, and you don't even have to code it all yourself. If you use tools like Steemvoter or Steemfollower you can also "pay to win". Pay 3SBD to Steemvoter, link all your accounts there and have them upvote all your posts. It's all about the initial Steem Power.
However, does anybody know how big the portion of Steem / Steem Dollars is that actually goes to haejin?
I was thinking about that a little bit ago when I was looking at his account activity on Steemd. Just saw a constant stream of upvotes from ridiculously small accounts liking multiple posts in quick succession. Looks like a botnet to me.
When I first saw people fighting about this, I thought the whole thing was dumb. The closer I look into it, it's wild and utterly suspicious.
If it stays like this, someone will create the Steemit 2.0 and 3.0
https://steemit.com/steemit/@rockwellontherun/why-we-should-thank-ned-dan-haejin-and-berniesanders
That's what the SMTs are for.
Great thoughts this could explain a lot of whats going on.
The truth about the matter has been unveiled. All that's left is to act upon it. The Steemit team should really review what's going on on the site.
Sounds like there needs to be a Steem Justice League :) Using Steemit itself to spread why this is bad and having proper intellectual discussions and plans to counter this seems like progress. If Steemit can filter out unwanted actions without the Steemit team, isn't that good?
Maybe learn how steem works and you will understand that its not so easy

I follow you plz follow me also,
Thank you so much
I actually wrote a lot of comments when I first found out about this on his posts as there were a lot of shell accounts. The other day I wrote a post about some of the things I had witnessed from watching and follow Haejin since he started flagging me.
I flagged a lot of accounts I believed to be fake day one so he made a post with a list on it for people for his "followers" to flag. I was on it haha.
Hahaha, that's tragic, man. Fortunately that kind of thing hasn't ever happened to me, but I can see how it'd go. I'm a programmer and I've been making bots for a long time, so I know how harsh it can be to have a botnet swarming upon your virtual identity. I hope they didn't delete your account, tho, (did they?). Also, happy new year.
So many geniuses here!
They are truly uncovering the great haejin conspiracy
You're absolutely right, good sir. May God bless his holy hands.
Well this doesn't sound very good...not for the community any way. I am new so just learning about Bots etc. Thanks for the point of view.
We are all Haejin on this blessed day. :P
When this type of exploit happens in the real world, we call these people geniuses or entrepreneurs but somehow we don't apply the same thinking here on Steemit even though what we do here is not really that much different from the outside wolrd. I wouldn't worry about people who make lots of money without giving thought to other people, because they tend to put a target sign on their back. Besides, karma has this funny way of working...
Thanks for your information....
good ......
Yep I'm a bot. But I have a better hat than you!
