I am currently re-growing my receding hairline using all natural products and basic inexpensive techniques. After just 12 days new hair is already appearing and I have done my best to document this with a photo, so that you may know I am telling the truth.
Okay, I know it's not much but look closer and you will see three or four dark hairs pushing through at the edge of the hairline.
Update!
It has been two days since I wrote this post and have been able to get a slightly better shot in which you can see multiple dark hairs appearing now.
When I lightly touch my scalp in the areas I am re-growing I can clearly feel the stubble of hundreds of new hairs deeper within the hairline. I've not felt anything like this on my head before (except after that time I shaved all my hair off) and I feel sure that by the new year I will have a much more persuasive photograph for you.
I never had a doubt this would work but I am stunned at how quickly it is happening and in this moment it is difficult to contain my excitement!
How am I re-growing my hair?
Knowing that chemical products were not an option, I spent a few weeks researching all those expensive natural shampoos & dietary supplements. Whilst I could see the logic in most of the information being presented I felt like there was a better way and have consequently adapted ideas from a bunch of people to create my own low budget system.
Just to be clear, the pharmaceutical industry are pushing DHT blocking drugs as the solution. They are expensive and come with a long list of side effects.
The reason they don't tell us how simple it is to correct hair loss is because there is no money to be made with the natural cure. They are much happier with a product they can patent and especially happy with that long list of side effects because it further boosts their business.
If you can believe it, you can achieve it
The first and most important step for me was establishing belief. Once I had done the research and felt sure it was possible my attitude and overall vibration changed. There is a big difference between looking at my hairline with the feeling that I am helpless to looking at it with the feeling that I have the power to change it.
Needless to say this applies to any situation.
Cleanse the body of toxins
Two weeks ago I fasted for a total of 5 days drinking only water. I also spent 2 or 3 days drinking blended fruit.
No matter what body/mind pursuit you are embarking on, a fast is always a great way to start.
No more chemical filled shampoo
I am still waiting for my natural liquid Castille soap to arrive so have been washing my hair with sodium bicarbonate mixed with water (1/1) and a peppermint essential oil/apple cider vinegar mix, also mixed with water (1/1).
Both mixtures I massage into my scalp individually and let them sit on my head for around five minutes each before rinsing off with water.
The above system cleanses the scalp of chemicals which have built up over years of using mainstream shampoos & hair products. The bicarb seems pretty effective at cleaning the hair though I am looking forward to making a lavender essential oil & natural liquid soap mix for a more enjoyable hair washing experience.
No more hot showers
Putting super hot water on your scalp has a negative effect on hair growth. I still enjoy the hot water on my body but don't put my head under till the end, at which point I turn the temperature as cold as it will go and hold it there for a minimum of 30 seconds. And scream.
Cold water on the scalp encourages blood flow and new hair growth.
Scalp massage
The idea that increased blood flow causes increased hair growth is key to all of this.
So, once a day for ten minutes I massage my scalp with my hands. Lying on my front on a bed, I hang my head & shoulders off the edge to increase the blood flow while I am massaging.
I have made two massage oils, both with coconut oil as the base. In one I have added peppermint essential oil and the other rosemary, both of which stimulate hair growth.
Castor oil is another popular one to use as the base. And perhaps even more effective than the coconut. I just went with what I had for now.
I spend a further ten mins a day massaging my scalp with this wooden bristle brush.
This one cost me €7 and can be found on Amazon searching for wooden bristle scalp brush.
In truth I probably use it more than 10 mins a day as it really enjoyable. It sits on my desk now and I just use it whenever I feel like a bit of head pleasure, always focusing the pressure on the areas I want to stimulate the most.
Diet
I'm already on a (mostly) vegan diet but now I will be increasing the quantity of fruit, veg, leafy greens, nuts, seeds, spirulina, moringa & turmeric.
No processed crap... obviously.
I've upped my water intake too. 2L per day min. Have labelled the 2L bottles with each day of week to be sure I drink them.
With winter setting in I will need to take some Vitamin D supplements soon if I am to give my hair the best chance.
I feel like I still have further research to do in the area of supplements and am considering adding the following list to my current diet: zinc, calcium, iron, vit B12 & vit C.
Exercise
I have been doing 15mins of yoga/stretching in the morning and 30mins of press-ups, crunches, pull-ups and a few other exercises for the legs in the afternoons. When the heart rate increases so too does the blood flow in the scalp. Especially when you push your body as hard as it will go, doing each exercise till you experience momentary muscular failure (MMF) and collapse on the floor in a heap.
The yoga/stretching is daily.
The 'man work out' is every other day because muscles need time to recover if we are consistently pushing ourselves to the point of MMF.
Sunlight
It is important to get a decent amount of Vitamin D through direct exposure to sunlight, but watch out you don't go and burn your head which will have the opposite effect to the one you seek.
When you have your sun moment, take off your clothes and let the sunlight hit as much of your body as possible.
Headstands
2 or 3 times a day I do a headstand on this bed and hold the position as long as I can, which currently is around a minute.
Once this is easy for me I will be learning the yoga head stand position, Sirsasana.
I am always on the look out now for things which I can hang upside down from. In our local park there is a perfect bar I swing from while my kids do their thing. It goes without saying, the more time we spend upside down, the more that hair will grow.
Meditation & affirmations
Reducing stress levels is another key factor to optimising hair growth, so daily meditation is a must. I do 15mins in silence and 15mins with my hair growth affirmations.
I have recorded myself reading out the affirmations which resonate with me and mixed this with some soft meditation music. I have a decent mic so it sounds quite rich and soothing.
A few examples of my words:
I am in full control of my hair growth
My body and my mind are intimately connected
My scalp is in perfect health
My hair is returning naturally
Nutrition and blood are always flowing to my scalp
I enjoy listening to this with headphones in the silence of the morning and repeat each affirmation in my mind before sitting with the feeling it gives me. Having had some experience with affirmations to fix other aspects of my life, I can tell you they are very effective when repeated daily.
The more time we can spend focused on the feeling of having whatever it is we want, the faster it will manifest in our experience. It is Universal Law.
Not content with a mere sound file, I created a video so that others may benefit from it on YouTube, DTube & BitTube. The film is a compilation of my drone, time-lapse & underwater shots from Indonesia where we recently spent 2 years.
Stinging nettle whipping
Yes, you read that right.
One of my neighbours here on the Spanish/French boarder told me he was able to re-grow his bald spots using this crazy sounding technique. Simply whip the desired area with the nettles and enjoy that enhanced blood flow! He told me the best time to do it is during the full moon, so I've not yet tried it... but you can be sure when the moon is full I will be giving it a try.
And yes, I will film it all for your entertainment.
The idea seems logical when we follow the increased blood flow train of thought. Just hope the itchy feeling isn't too distracting!
The SHARING feeling
As always when I start seeing results from projects like this, I experience an overwhelming sensation like I want to sing this news from the hill tops! How many guys out there don't re-grow their hair because they think it isn't possible?
So, I will keep on documenting my journey and post often in order that others may know this is not just a crazy hippy dream, this is reality.
And a very pleasing reality at that 😄

It must be an amazing moment to see those new little hairs growing! You're growing younger day by day :))
It feels seriously amazing, and this post was written in speed time due to the feeling. There is something quite powerful about having a success story to share :)
...and yes, growing younger every day sounds perfect!
I'm going to be trying some of your methods, I wouldn't mind reversing some of the receding I have going on. I hope to share some success with you !!
You can do it! Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. Am here to help :)
Excellent! I started looking into this a while ago and found a pretty good book that lists a long list of natural options and plants to try - along with massage and detox etc.
I bought the tools and things but never got around to completing the process - you are inspiring me to look at it again now. :)
Where did you get the brush from? Does it have a name?
Am so pleased to have inspired you.
Don't think the brush has a specific name but the wooden bristles are the key and there are many options on amazon under £10, like this one, which looks about the same as the one I bought. Of all the physical stuff I am doing I believe this is the most effective.
Looking forward to seeing your great results!
Great, thanks - I'll give it a go. The book I have lists specific massages that were identified from a Chinese study IIRC, the massages aren't obvious ones. I'll reread it at some point and post it to Steem.
If I can find a way of slowing down my eyebrow growth that would be great too - lol.. That old man thing of no hair on top and lots of hair everywhere else is not so appealing. :)
I'm curious to know more about the Chinese massages. What is the name of the book?
My eyebrows are also getting a bit crazy in places but my feeling is that when we have a full head of hair, a little extra growth in this area kinda fits the face better.
It's an ebook collection called 'hair revolution' that I saw advertised on Facebook I think. Normally I wouldn't buy such things and it was pretty exensive.. But something told me it was good and when I read it I could see that it said everything I would have said myself, except it also includes specialist hair growth info that we wouldn't know without doing the research.
I'll see if I can post some of it.
I seem to hear you scream in the cold shower, LOL. Even I always end up with cold water: I feel I can reap the beneficial effects of an effective blood circulation!
Thanks for the interesting info and inspiration!
A stimulating hug from @amico! 🤗
haha! I will have to film the scream one of these days. It's pretty uncontrollable still!
It's almost time for that stinging nettle scalp whipping next. The full moon is upon us...
Awesome! After three years of chemotherapy messing with my hair I am interested in trying a few of these things. Merci! =)
One extra thing I forgot to mention here is avocado hair masks! Gets nutrients to the hair and scalp... and feels great on there for an hour ;)
Of all this stuff, having the belief and that wooden bristle brush are the most important.
Looking forward to hearing about your great results.
This is AN AMAZING article brother. So many great tips. You've really put efforts and time in it for the benefit of others. Loved reading every single line. I don't have hair problem yet, but I will pass this on (and naturally resteem) to my "balding" buddies. Funny memories with nettles from my childhood. We would do all sorts of dares in our gang with nettle initiations. Basically burning our whole bodies with it. Pretty intense but I hear quite healthy (which we did not even consider at that age of course:) . Much Love brother and may you have continuing success with the hair regrowth!
Your childhood memories have sparked off a reminder from my own past. Am sure we had the same initiation ritual in our little gang! haha.
There is something so very rewarding about taking on a project like this, seeing the results and sharing the joy ;)
Your own journey to awaken your Kundalini energy is particularly spectacular and makes me all the more look forward to my first trip to India. I find myself wondering if this awakening will affect your painting style?
Initiations are the best:) Time will tell brother. I’m freshly moved to HK and still waiting to get the keys of the place we rent from November. Then I can finally paint again . You should definitely go to India brother!
You are so great, i love your posts! Our body is a self healing miracle. If we give our body the chance for healing, he will do. I believe, that your hair re-grow within these few days. Washing the hair with sodium bicarbonate is awesome. Next time i will try it with some essential oil.
Thank you for your upbeat response. It is really such a pleasure to see results and share them with people. Looking forward to hearing lots of other hair success stories now ;)
Body have capacity to rejuvenate everything. Only it want respect that we are not giving. We dump it with negative emotion hate, jealousy, anger etc.

For sure. That's why meditation is such an important part of it :)
Damn - I LOVE everything about this post. My biz also has a new hair treatment oil and already has one very regular middle aged gentleman customer who swears by it. A mix of castor oil, coconut oil, moringa oil, neem oil, pure vitamin E, cold pressed sesame oil and peppermint essential oil. Hope to see you in the SMG more often. :) x
That sounds like an awesome oil mix there! I never thought about moringa oil before. As the plant with the highest nutrients in nature it make total sense this would benefit the scalp. We used to grow moringa in Bali. Not so easy to find here in France. Am tempted to buy some of that from you. Do you have a website?
That's very quick results! Maybe you won't need the stinging nettle treatment - except of course for our entertainment. Since you dropped me the link for the audio on Youtube, I've been meaning to look it up on a list of vibrational frequencies I have, but haven't quite got there yet.
Weirdly I am really looking forward to the stinging nettle session ;)
I would be interested to see your vibrational frequency list.
The frequencies were determined by a man called Lloyd Mear, and I bought his original manual years ago. Here's where you can get the updated manual and it tells you a bit about how to use them
https://www.balancingbynumbers.com/user-guide-energy-balancing-by-numbers/
I scanned the Hair page
There are a few there that you could test (or just use). Ask again if you need to know more.
This is awesome! Thank you so much :)
Bookmarking that link immediately for further investigation.
Loving your natural hair care routine! I also stopped shampooing over a year ago and now only wet my hair for a good shikakai powder wash once every 3 to 4 weeks or so. My hair has never been this healthy and it's also getting thicker!
I never considered it, but I spend some time in yoga inversions as well so perhaps that's helping! Congrats on your progress. It's empowering to allow the body to care for itself!
Xx. ToL
Also thank you for your generous delegation to @naturalmedicine. Please come check out our discord chat! We'd love to see you there!
Will be googling shikakai powder when I'm done here. Thanks for the tip!
And thanks for your great work with @naturalmedicine. Looking forward to learning lots more through your community :)
Good going! I should try that too. I am 40 and my hair has already gone grey and started receding. On one hand, I don't really care about such things and am not bothered (which I suppose is what gets me to this point, as I have always ignored it before). But on the other hand, restoring it at least a little would be nice ;)
I will have to get back into doing cold showers. At one time I was taking my shower almost entirely without any warm water, even in winter. Boy getting the body into that cold stream ws always hard (more mentally hard than physically), but after I finished I always felt fantastic. I gradually dropped out of that habit, but it may be time to restart it.
Keep us up to date. I always enjoy reading your posts, brother.
I feel like it is important to recognise that being bald or grey is no big deal. It's just ego stuff. However, it is also important to recognise that we do have a choice in this. Yes, it takes some effort, but everything worthwhile in life does.
I commend you on the cold showers. Back in Indonesia it was a pleasure to do this. Here in France it is not so easy, as the water seems much colder. Am still perfecting breathing techniques to help me stay under longer.
For sure I will keep you updated. Like I said, I will be singing this from the rooftops!
I felt the same way at that age spent money and time it was all working at one stage but a lot of time has to be devoted to it in a lot of aspects and i managed to grow some hair back but as i got older the skin head was in fashion so i gave up caring for it but still eat well because that's good in any case. Good luck with it , it will make you feel good for awhile till you find you don't have the time for it anymore and simply go to the skin head fashion less time consuming...lol :)
I feel like most of these practices are useful not just for hair growth but also for spiritual growth, so am happy to keep them in my life permanently. Perhaps as you say it's an age thing and in time I won't feel this way. But for now I do... and i am very much enjoying sharing the ride as I go ;)
You are definitely right about that and i felt the same way at your age but at my age now i still care and watch what i eat and do exercise regularly but the hair bit well i am not fussed about that anymore i like looking like Van Diesel...hehe :)
Yesss this is so fantastic, can see those new little hairies! It’s a lot of discipline but definitely worth it. Did you put any lemon in your water on the water fast?
It feels like a lot of discipline reading it but in fact, when doing it time seems to fly like I am just having fun. With the exception of the stinging nettles (which are coming in 2 days!) I feel comfortable keeping these regiments in my life.
I didn't use lemon during the fast, though I hear this can be good.
Looky look! Happy for this update brother, seeing you out there playing the inner game brings a big smile to my heart! Good work sharing and singing the successes all the way! 💗💯
This has been such a great reminder for me. Am back in the driving seat of my life ;)
Thanks for the SMG invite. I've just joined you on Discord.
This is incredible! I love that you are seeing progress. Keep it up..you are doing big things!
It's mad. There has been more growth since I took the photo this morning. Gonna find it hard not to share every step of this journey!
That's amazing I do a lot of that anyways apart from the stinging nettle whipping. But to be honest at the better side of 35 I have a better head of hair than most people younger I know so maybe thats why 💯🐒
If you're doing most of these things already it sounds like you're doing just fine :)
I'll let you know how the stinging nettle whipping goes!
I'll look forward to hearing about it, not sure i'm ready to try that one yet i'll stick to the yoga and healthy diet 💯🐒
Wow! - whatever you do, you really do it don't you? Watching with interest!
What a lovely compliment :)
Thanks.
When I set my mind to something with a clear goal in view, there is very little which will stop me from achieving it. I believe we all have this power, though few of us are aware.
Man, that is a beautiful beard. I've always been a bit lacking in this area. Can't even grow side burns! It's just baby fluff. Perhaps this will be the next project ;)
haha! Excellent. Reminds me of something my dad used to say about never trusting a skinny chef!
It is wonderful. Even I heard sirsasana(Head stand Yoga) is also helpful .

I've tried to do the yoga head stand but still having trouble doing it. More practice needed :)
Ya it needs lot of practice. It is also called king of yoga in India.
