STEEMIT GIRL HALO ♡ Prolotherapy Your Pain Away ♡ This Post Could Change Your Life!

If you have pain this post could change your life!

I first learned about prolotherapy, when I met my husband. I had a torn labrum in my hip, and he said I need to get prolotherapy on it. I was like, what the heck is prolotherapy, I have never heard of it. The doctors said I needed surgery to fix it. So I did not know what to do. Do I trust my husband or the doctors?

My husband said he had fell of a 25 foot roof and landed on his feet. He compressed two disk in his back, and for two years after that he was in pain. The doctors told him he needed to have rods put in his back. He found this place on the internet that was located in Chicago, IL . They did a treatment called prolotherapy. He asked his doctors about it, and they told him they had never heard of it, it's probably not a good idea. Well my husband decided to try it and he had prolotherapy injections done once a month for 5 months the pain went competely away and has never came back.

My husband continues to tell me he has had it done on other parts of his body also. He had the prolotherapy injections done on the bottom of his foot, both elbows and his clavical. His dad had it done on his elbow and knee. It took the pain away in every place.

So I decided to give prolotherapy a try after hearing my husbands story's. I had the prolotherapy injections done on my left hip once a month for three months and the pain was competely gone. I should have had my left lower back done at the same time as the hip, but I was still skeptical.

Today I went back to get my left lower back injected. After evaluating me, the doctor said the pain is actually coming from Sacroiliac Joint, and my it was probably injured at the same time as when I injured my labrum.

First they rub some numbing cream on me.

Then they injected me. Below are three of the six syringes that they injected into me.

Here you can see how many times they poked me.

Here is what it looks like 4 hours after the injections, I am not sure why I get so bruised. My husband said his never got busied that bad. Also this stuff makes the area that is injected swell up a lot.

WHAT IS PROLOTHERAPY?
Prolotherapy is a regenerative injection treatment used to repair incomplete healing of the ligament and tendons.Source of information below http://www.caringmedical.com

The major cause of degenerative arthritis and chronic pain is joint instability which involve ligament injury. injured ligaments need to be correctly treated in order to fully restore joint stability.

Prolotherapy is considered a viable alternative to surgery, as an option to pain medications and anti-inflammatory injections such as cortisone and other steroidal injections in instances of joint instability and osteoarthritis.

The prolotherapy procedure is considered a safe, affordable option that allows the patient to keep working and/or training during treatment.

It is typically best to treat all or most of the ligaments of an unstable joint if that joint or it's surrounding structures are painful. Multiple joints and structures can be treated with each visit.
The treatments are generally given every three to six weeks to allow sufficient time for new collagen growth. Most commonly in our office, most patients receive monthly treatments, but in certain urgent healing situations, they can be given up to weekly.

Prolotherapy is given without the use of narcotic medications, anti-inflammatory medications, and steroid solutions, as these inhibit healing.

WHAT IS IN PROLOTHERAPY INJECTIONS?
The primary ingredient in prolotherapy injections used at caring medical is dextrose, a corn extract. How does a corn extract accelerate healing?

When a joint becomes injured, the cells in that area burst and release dextrose and trigger an influx of inflammatory cells, initiating the wound-healing system to the specific area.

In this basic prolotherapy injection solutions, we also use an alkaline extract of the pitcher plant called Sarapin. Almost all pain issues have some kind of nerve component, which sarapin helps to relieve.

When a stronger inflammatory reaction is desired, additional natural ingredients can be used in the dextrose-based injections. These can include mineral additives, such as zinc or manganese. Another common prolotherapy additive includes fatty acids, which increase the inflammatory effect. Lastly, certain hormones, including human growth hormone or testosterone, can be helpful for triggering localized repair of damaged tissue.

I did not video this being done to me, but below are a few videos from Caring Medical, which is the place I had this done.

That sounds really good. I could use that in my lower back for sure. And the results last?

Wonder if they do that somewhere near me in Canada.

I don't know but my husband said this place is the best. The results are permanent.

I don´t like the pictures, it looks painfull, but upvoted to support you. :)

I think it hurts, but my husband just lays there and carries on a conversation while he get it. The little bit of pain in the 2 minutes it takes to do it is worth not having anymore pain.
