3 Foods To Cure Your Vitamin-D Deficiency! - by @princewahaj

Vitamin D is very important for your body because too many functions are correlated with it. It's excess in your body can lead to serious trouble such as vomiting and kidney problems etc but its deficiency can also result in serious problems such as weak immune system, kidney stones and increased risk of cancer.

With that being said, keeping vitamin D to the required level is important. Majority of people believe that medication is the best solution for vitamin-D deficiency but I don't agree with them. I believe that natural ways are much better than artificial medications.

As you know, the problems such as hair fall and poor hair growth are increasing and that's exactly due to the deficiency of Vitamin D in your body. Vitamin D comes with fat naturally so you'll have to absorb some fat on daily basis to keep your Vitamin D level to its required level. Like I mentioned above, you can't be too careless and eat whatever amount of Vitamin D you want because it leads the body towards absorbing too much calcium.

In this article, we are going to discuss 3 foods that are best not only to recover the deficiency of Vitamin D but also helpful for high blood sugar (diabetes). The healthy diet is necessary for happy life or else you're probably exposing yourself to serious diseases such as high blood pressure. Natural foods are best for daily diet, so the foods that I am going to mention are not only for Vitamin D but also helpful for other problems.

1 - Eggs:

Eggs are high in protein and low in calories which contributes to controlling high blood sugar and other issues while recovering your Vitamin-D deficiency. It is good to eat fried eggs in the meal because it tastes so good and at the same time, it's a healthy meal.

The egg is the rich source of other vitamins and calcium too such as Vitamin B2. Thought the eggs are high in protein, if you're suffering from Disorders or Diabetes then you shouldn't take more than 1 egg a day. And BTW, too much quantity of anything, be it Milk or whatever, produce a negative effect. Eggs are high in cholesterol but they are rich in Vitamins and Calcium, especially Vitamin D. 1 fried egg with bread sounds good for breakfast every day.

2 - Milk:

Milk is rich with a great number of Vitamins such as A, B, C, D, K, and E. And more importantly, milk is an everyday product and natural. I don't know how one cannot like to drink milk. I would recommend 1 glass milk per day for those with Vitamin D deficiency. The timing doesn't matter though, you can either take it in the early morning or at night. But I'd suggest to take it in the early morning before breakfast.

1 glass of milk seems fine but for those who are the patients of Diabetes, they shouldn't take more than 1 cup of milk because it is well known that milk tastes sweet and it is called "Lactose". For such patients, it is recommended that they visit the doctors and talk to them about it. But I won't recommend more than 1 cup for diabetes patient. However, if you are just suffering from blood pressure problem, I don't see any problem with 1 glass of milk but it is better to ask the physician.

3 - Fish:

Fish is one of the high vitamin foods. It is claimed that Salmon Fish are high in Vitamin D than other fishes but you can study more on that by yourself too. Fish is healthy and it has a lot of benefits like it reduces your high blood pressure. It lowers the risk of heart attack and treats your depression.

The large quantity of fish can lead to increased blood sugar level (i.e high blood sugar). According to the specialists, eating too much fish can increase the chances of Type 2 diabetes (requires insulin). Just like I've said above, a large quantity of anything can lead to negative effects and same is the case here.

Please take a note that these were my personal opinions that were based on facts but please don't take any step if you're already suffering from any disease because what's good for me might not be good for you as it varies case to case. Even if you're not suffering from any serious disease, it is better to take the advice of a doctor so that you could do whatever you do with confidence.

Totally agree :) but last but not least the sun as well, even if is not a food :p but it's a very important source of vitamine D!

I love this article cause the writer came out as plain as possible especially when he said it is written based on facts not forgetting that whats good for me, might not be good for you. One man's food, is another man's poison. Shalom!

Great article! I live in Northeast US and this is a common problem in winter. My 11 year old was just diagnosed with deficiency. She feels horrid. This was a big help!

Excellent reminders! Vitamin intake in its right proportion is best for all especially the natural sources. Thanks @africaunited

Egg milk and fish are excellent source of vitamin D, but to avoid high intake of cholesterol ,eggs should be specifically reduced, consumption quantity should always be at minimal.

"Majority of people believe that medication is the best solution for vitamin-D deficiency..." Who told you that?

"I believe that natural ways are much better than artificial medications." Do you call vitamin D drugs artificial.

This isn't an attack, just a call to notice on things that diminish the value of the content.

Thanks for your thoughts, I appreciate that.

The first one was my personal observation. According to it, most people value injections and drugs more than natural ways such as fruit/food or sunlight. So yeah, it could be wrong too if we apply it to the people of the whole world. In this case, you're right. I should quote the actual fact only.

As for the second, I believe that natural ways are better. That's my personal opinion.

Overall, thank you for the comment. It was helpful!

i,m 100% agree with this post ,and thanks for sharing this useful post

Also not forget the early morning sun. I love this article because it's based on natural ways of controlling your vitamin D level. Thanks for the enlightenment. Very elaborate one and I recommend every reader of this post to Resteem it.

Vitamin D is the best source of vitamin D for the body. The skin converts sun rays to vitamin D. Experts recommend sunbathing for 20 minutes a day in the spring and summer months so that the face, arms and legs can see the sun.
Foods containing vitamin D:

Milk, ayran, kefir, cheese and yoghurt
Butter
Tuna
Salmon
Mackerel
oyster
Liver
Egg yolk
Sweet potato
Fish oil
Mushroom
Parsley
Clover
Dead nettle
Oat

Very useful and informative article. Thank you.

this is common problem where I live. Around Seattle region, 90% people are vitamin-D deficient due to the lack of sun. Insurance companies no longer cover vitamin-d check as a part of annual physical exam

No matter what you consume you will never be able to get Vitamin from D unless you are getting morning sunlight. No food contains Vitamin D. I was told this by a doctor. Depending on where you live the duration of sunlight you need to take changes.
I was suffering from Vitamin D deficiency. My doctor cured it with MEDS. When i asked him for cure without meds he told me that it would take 6 months to cure this deficiency with just sunlight.

I have recently researched vitamins, trying to improve my own health.

I read that Vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 works together. D3 is essential for the body to take up calcium. Then K2 is essential for transporting the calcium into the bones and teeth. So they work together for healthy bones and also to prevent calcification of the blood vessels among other things. It also helps things like arthritis etc. Very cool.

You can find K2 in cheese like Gouda and Brie. If I would take supplements I would take some combination of K2 and D3 but I also prefer to get things naturally just like you said :)

I am definitely not an expert but I can encourage everyone to research it for themselves.
