Me, me, meh.

in #health7 years ago

I would have a chance to take a nap right now after about 10 sleepless nights but instead I'm having a cup of tea, some chocolate and writing this. It's called me-time. My husband has some time to himself as well. He will go and have a blood test done shortly. We rock!

Today we found out that our daughters MRI is next week. On the other hand, it's good that she has some time to recover from her flu but at the same time it feels so far away. A whole week without knowing what's wrong and waiting for seizures to come here at home.

When I'm with my daughter the thoughts are just on that moment and on her. I just take care of things and do stuff: food, nappies, naps, clothes, baths, sleep and repeat. There is no time to stop and think what's going on and I feel like in this situation it's a blessing. It makes the days go faster and gives me less time to cry and whine.

But this me-time is important too. It helps me to process some things in my head and hear my own thoughts. Even though the tired mind isn't always the best of company.

Hugs, Momone

I can't imagine what a difficult time this must be for you.

I was looking at some of your old posts and reminding myself of your situation. When things are a bit more normal (fingers crossed), if you drop me a note about what foods she can eat, I'll put my thinking cap on and see if I can come up with some new recipe ideas for you.

Hugs.

Thank you so much. That would be very helpful.

I'll talk to you again, then, when things are a bit better, fingers crossed.

Much of strength during these hard and uncertain days. It is good that the fly is getting less.
Indeed me-time is really important, but when it is about the kids, it is hard to get selfish!
Much of strength during the coming days! It will be hard to wait for the MRI, but some explanation what is going with her is probably a lot better than the uncertainty you all are undergoing at the moment.

Cheers,
Peter

Thank you Peter. Some explanation will definitely be better than this situation.

Sending you love and light from faraway lands!

Hugs.

Thank you!

Nicely said. You're a champ as you guys are going through a difficult time. I read a piece of me time to, have a look. You are being a really good mom, but must make effort to get a break, even for 30 min. Veg out and refocus. Put on some music, headphones in ears, close yourself in a room and scream into a pillow with everything you have for as long as you need.

Get that thing that's clouding you out, that thing that makes you feel heavy. Get it out. It helps.

Thanks! I will have a look. Started to follow you. :)

Thank you, never be afraid to speak about how you feel, never feel alone and do try the screaming thing, works like a charm.
