Exercise has been a ritual in my life for the past 5 or 6 years and sometimes I am amazed with my results. However, there are days during the week where I find myself struggling to conduct certain movements and exercises with the same level of intensity. After thinking on this for a little while, I came to the decision that no matter what, or how I am feeling, I know deep down that in order to move forward, I must train with the mindset of growing stronger each and every day.
The way I see it, if I cannot train harder, faster, and grow stronger after each workout, I am moving backwards. Now, of course there are days when I am just simply too sore to do certain exercises with the same high levels of intensity. For example, an exercise that I cannot do after exhausting myself is the muscle-up. A muscle-up is a cross-fit exercise, which is one fluid movement that begins in a pull-up position and ends with a dip position. It is a very challenging exercise that I have only recently obtained the ability to do, and requires an enormous amount of power.
In order to improve my ability to do this movement, I attempt to do pull-ups, push-ups, dips, and other exercises when I am too tired to complete a muscle-up. This allows my body to adapt to high amounts of stress and pressure even while fatigued, in my opinion, this is how you grow strong, well-developed muscles. Thank you very much for reading and I hope this motivates you to train harder.
I love working out, it's important to stay in shape. Have any favorite workouts @purefood?
I completely agree @koldy! One of my favorite workouts at the moment is box jumps, I believe it provides me a great full body workout while boosting my agility and stamina!
