I'm wondering how effective plants are for purifying air, how many plants does one need, what kind of pollutants does it help against except CO2? Perhaps, if living at some place with reasonably fresh air at the outside, simply opening the window may be more effective?
I think I've read that there are research showing that having some plants around may affect the mood in a positive way. Dunno, but I do keep some plants around me in the office.
You are correct. If we get fresh air by opening the window that is enough. But some of the places air is very much polluted. And my city, Dhaka, is one classic example. You will find rarely any tree and fresh air. Good to know that you have some plants at your office. Apart from sucking CO2 it also makes your body and mind fresh when see green plants in the morning entering into the office room. Good idea, I am planning to have some plants in my office room. Thanks.
