If you haven’t heard of waist training, it’s when a woman wears a corset around her waist for a period of time during the day. A corset also means that it is a garment worn to hold and train the torso into a desired shape; women used to wear them to look skinny in their dresses but not knowing the side effects after a period of time.
By looking at that picture, immediately you will know that there is something wrong going on. Women always wanted to have a slimmer waist. When it comes to trying to achieve a certain body type, we always try everything including weight loss products, diets, fitness pads, in order to have the new modern body type and this includes Waist Training.
I felt that in order to be accepted by others, to be loved by the person you loved, I needed to match up with stereotypical images of health, beauty, and weight because body type is a big deal, and it can be a deal-breaker for what a woman wants in life. Television, magazine covers, and advertisements had a huge impact for everybody. It was the same mentality that led me to search about corset-train cause as they said, it’s the most effective way to reduce your waistline and I was about to do it until I realized the dangers of it.
What’s amazing about it is that by using corset to shrink your midsection is how fast they work. In a matter of a week or two, a woman can reduce her waistline 1-2 inches. If used for a period of several months, or years, a woman can have the waist she wanted and in fact, many celebrities are using it like Kim Kardashian, Jessica Alba, Kylie, Kendall Jenner, and many more. The effect of using waist trainer is faster than going to the gym. But here is the brutal effect that most people don’t know.
Dangerous effects of Waist Training
• Due to their restrictive nature around the midsection of the body, corsets put pressure on vital organs and can even strangle them leading up to permanent body damage when worn for extended periods of time.
• Skin irritation – having something so tightly fastened to your skin for a prolonged amount of time will cause chafing that can cause serious discomfort.
• Acid reflux – by compressing your mid-section, the trainer is also pressing on your stomach up higher increasing your chance of heartburn and indigestion.
• Breathing – by restricting your diaphragm, you’re reducing the amount of oxygen you can take it.
I realized that putting on a corset isn’t going to make you lose fat in your waist just as putting on super tight pants isn’t going to make you lose fat in your behind. Yes, you might lose some weight but the reasons aren’t anything magical ; the waist trainer might cause you to sweat more, meaning you’d lose water weight ; the waist trainer may make you feel less inclined to eat because it is so tight. So you might lose some pounds from eating less…If you think a corset is worth a few pounds and possible damage to your body, then go for it.
Although a waist trainer will make your waist appear slimmer while you’re wearing it, every time you take it off your unhappiness with your shape will be perpetuated through comparison. You’re constantly reminding yourself of how much you dislike your body and being fooled into thinking your ideal figure is just out of reach. This false hope can even leave you with the belief that diet and exercise is no longer necessary, as well as becoming addicted to corsets. In the end, you’ll find the whole experience rather distressing when the desired results are not met and even put you in risk.
Waist training corsets might be pretty, but they aren’t worth the potential damage of your body.

I agree.
While waist trainers give fast result, they just squish the hell out of you but if worn properly, they can be a useful to get the body shape you desire.
Everything that is done extreme is definitely not good for one's body.
You are right about that.. Nothing can change in one snap or if there is, you'll definitely suffer the consequences. Patience is a virtue and also, there is a limit for everything. Thanks for reading this blog! :)
