@fatkat, littleboy reported you to steemcleaners as your post is something that tends to be frowned upon by the community. By lookin at your upvotes, you seem to be buying most of them which is just a perpetuation of certain problems with steemit as a whole. His downvote did not ruin your account, but understandably it can feel bad still. My suggestion if you want to write articles this way is to use the blockquote for part of the post and then write your own response/analysis of the information you are quoting. The intention of this is not to make people leave steemit but to fix these internal problems. The reason why a warning does not work outright with steemit is that there is the potential for a large amount of earnings to be made from the limited daily reward pool that you simply didn't earn. For this reason I say be thankful it was @littleboy and not berniesanders coming after you for this (cause bernie would destroy your account)
Best regards,
Kryzsec
Cool looks like I'm leaving steemit. I provided analysis with my headings and my title? What level of analysis makes it ok to use block quotes??? I used blockquotes did I not? Did I not have things in quotes additionally. There are way more posts that have just as much content as I did and they do not provide edited links that provide the basis for the title and headings. Nothing I did is spammy and it provides value.
Tthanks for your thoughts. Enjoy the winter. I doubt I am gonna be back on here or as interested as I was until @littleboy started downvoting my other posts, destroying my reputation and making meaningful comments I had grey.
Enjoy working with him. He's a catch.
where did I not use blockquotes?
> text or <blockquote>text</blockquote>
produces
yes and are the things I quote in the article not in blockquotes with citations?
Yes but over 50% of the content of your post is in blockquotes. Generally people like having >50% be content from the creator and <50% be quoted content where as yours is around >90% quoted. If you had provided custom content (like way more than quoted content) then it wouldn't be considered plagiarism.
how is it at all plagiarism? I provide the sources and make it clear it is being quoted? And I still provide analysis. And where is the 50% rule. Is it written down. I am fine following rules but I am not fine with arbitrary bullshit from hypocrties like @littleboy. I'm done with steemit if this is acceptable to you how this has gone down and him downvoting other totally fine posts and comments.
@kryzsec here is probably my last post explaining the whole context. I think I have a pretty good argument that my post does have merit and to the extent it doesnt I should have been given notice before any sort of unwritten rules are enforced. My post had proof of brain.
This quite possibly is my last post on steemit.
