Copying/Pasting full texts without adding anything original is frowned upon by the community.
Some tips to share content and add value:
- Using a few sentences from your source in “quotes.” Use HTML tags or Markdown.
- Linking to your source.
- Include your own original thoughts and ideas on what you have shared.
Repeated copy/paste posts could be considered spam. Spam is discouraged by the community, and may result in action from the cheetah bot.
If you are actually the original author, please do reply to let us know!
Thank You!

@steemcleaners Pasting spam comments without interpreting to the specific situation is spam by definition. If you actually read my post you would see the 1.title is original content 2. the headings are original content 3. the video timings are original content. And the curation of the multiple articles and videos tells a story and lets the reader decide what is true based off the primary sources of media artifacts not me playing telephone game saying what others said. You cleary did not read any of the article. You doing a good job, syke!!
That comment was for guidance. You didn't get a flag initially but you came to appeal channel in chat with aggressive attitude and started throwing names at steemcleaners member, so you got a flag.
Your huge post is 98% copypasta.
2% of your original content has nothing to do with that copied and pasted content and is mostly advertising and asking users to send you SBD for vote buying.
We don't care what your copied and pasted content is about. We are not moral police here. You can write whatever you like as long as it is not a content that breaks the law.
If you copy and paste with adding little value to the platform, you are likely to bring steemcleaners attention.
Our comment has been valid and it is explained in detail what is wrong with your post and advise given.
If you think that Steemit is about copying and pasting other people's work and then expecting others to pay you for it, then you are wrong.
Go back, read the comment again. Then read the abuse guide. The guide has been around since 2016.
@steemcleaners @logic selfvoted comment is totally spam you fucking hypocrite piece of shit. You and steemcleaners abuse is going to be exposed. Even if you destroy me the market will have the info of who your cartel truly is and what it is really doing. Where is aggressive attitude listed for punishment when people aren't listening to you?
you are creating a moral policy for the aggressive attitude bs? You really are dumb as shit logic you know that?
"Your fucking lying spam comment you fucks voted up doesnt say 2% orgiinal does it?
"I never claimed to write it dummy "
"What aggressive attitude you piece of shit?"
Just to make sure that your insults from Steemit chat stay at blockchain:
@logic ok thanks for posting. I am not saying I wasnt a dick but you werent at all listening to me and presumed me guilty. Again dummy your steemcleaners upvoted spam lies and states "Copying/Pasting full texts without adding anything original is frowned upon by the community." then you yourself even contradict steemcleaners lie and admit there is 2% originality. So which is it dummy?
@logic do you understand you are not even keeping your story straight is it 2% or no %. You guys are fucking dumb if you think this kind of acts where I can reciprocate your disrespect and then you totally flip out and downvote me for aggression. you clearly should not be doing appeals if you are going to act like a ferenghi and let someone work you up where you down vote for rules that you tyrants haven't even writen down or made clear.
In this context you copied everything from Wikipedia except the references. That was the reason for the comment. "Copying/Pasting full texts" but I agree the comment could have been re-worded a bit to suggest you use a few important sentences from Wikipedia and acknowledge that you did write some original content and suggest expanding on it to engage your readers a bit more.
I didnt think the reference were too important I would have included if that is the issue. The reader clearly could go and check the resources. I just wanted to put a snapshot of the collective wisdom of the event into the block chain with 2 other information outlets reporting on the event and it's current state.
The blacklist downvote still there. C'est la vie. I guess some people don't think black lives should matter and people shouldn't report what the news has reported about them.
The whole style of my post is to allow the reader to evaluate what others have said in a quick way without having to force me to play telephone game inserting me into the story when I would only be parroting what others more informed/engaged have said.
Unfortunately I don't know who owns blacklist-a. That is still a mystery. It's a bot and I don't think its owner even followups on it like I do with mine.
It's good to include references depending on the tags you use. We do have academics here and depending on the subject or your target audience that can help you gain followers.
I think that putting it together as you have does add some originality to it. Most users here just grab entire articles and copy them. It really does become an issue of spam when no one adds anything to what they copy. There are times I've found the same crypto article copied dozens of times in one week mostly by accounts that don't even engage their followers.
I don't think the problem is the subject of your post but that the majority of the community from the beginning has tried to be different than other social media platforms and value content creators. I personally consider opinion posts to have value and I think that steemit is a great place for it.
I haven't had time to do any opinion pieces in quite a while but I try to do 25% copy to 75% original.
@patrice
yea didnt he/she/ze didnt even post a comment. but still a minnow so dont waste your time on earth worrying about it. Sorry I even mentioned it.
From now on I will include references when I do this style of post.
I will not let littleboy silence me if he wants to declare a ratio, or if steemcleaners does I will follow it to the extent I think it is just and helps steem. But for anything that is not purely spam, 100% unoriginal, I will only support your right to take punitive actions if your policies are clearly written down and the person is giving a pass on their first post and noticed and actions only taken on 2nd and further post so long as there is not any scintilla of creativity/proof of brain, or it violates some copy/paste ratio/clear objective rules that are uniformly enforced (at least once reported to the process).
I look forward to reading your stuff if I stick around. But Littleboy bullying me and downvoting posts as retribution including ones that advertise on peer hub me selling high quality USA Fender Strat and Gibson 335 and video game controller at fair prices in steem hurts the platform. Steem is going to fail at getting noormal people to put up with this especially from hypocrites. I understand steemcleaners gave littleboy a warning and an offer to remove the downvote that he didnt extend to me?
I hope you will consider reading my next post putting all this into context and hopefully helping the community have a conversation over copy/paste and retributive downvotes and policing the police in the real world and on steem.
Any way thanks for your time. I hope the day went well for you.
