¿A quién no le gusta el pollo? Yo creo que a todo el mundo. Es algo que se puede comer en un momento donde necesitas resolver un asunto rápido o estás trabajando o haciendo gestiones o trámites. Creo que repetí mucho la letra o ja, ja, ja.
Pollo Piri Piri es un restaurante ubicado en la avenida Pedro León Torres, en la ciudad de Barquisimeto; específicamente en la parte oeste de la ciudad. Para mí es el lugar donde venden el mejor pollo a la brasa de Barquisimeto y la mejor salsa para untar venezolana: Guasacaca.
La guasacaca, es una salsa para untar preparada a base de aliños verdes y aguacate o palta. Claro, también tiene algo especial que le hace tener un sabor agrio: Vinagre. Éste restaurante es muy apreciado por mí, tiene momentos buenos y malos de mi infancia. Solía ir a comer con mi madre cuando era un niño. Muchos acá no lo saben, pero no veo a mi mamá desde hace 5 años que viajó al extranjero, junto a mis hermanos, mientras que yo me quedé en Venezuela estudiando en la universidad. Es un lugar nostálgico, y que tiene su toque aesthetic.
El local es el mismo que hace 10 años, nada ha cambiado. Mantiene esa identidad que le caracteriza; aunque no bien aprovechada. Creo que deben restaurarse las fachadas, y darle un toque de renovación a los interiores del local, manteniendo lo que allí existe.

Piri Piri Chicken is a restaurant located on Pedro Leon Torres Avenue, in the city of Barquisimeto, specifically in the western part of the city. For me, it is the place where they sell the best grilled chicken in Barquisimeto and the best Venezuelan spread, Guasacaca.

Fui a comer a éste sitio acompañado con mi hermano. Él quizás no recordó cuando mi mamá nos llevaba a comer, pero de una manera u otra yo lo recuerdo todo claramente. Me gustó el lugar donde nos sentamos, se veían los ángulos de los asientos de una manera atractiva, los vidrios, los avisos y la carta hacían juego de una manera sencilla con el local.
Esa caracterización hace que quieras comer allí, yo lo hice por su valor nostálgico a pesar de que tienen uno más elegante en el estacionamiento. Próximamente lo visitaré.
I went to eat at this place with my brother. He may not remember when my mother took us to eat, but somehow or another, I remember everything clearly. Fuimos a comer en éste lugar porqué era el más adecuado, estoy cansado de ir a un restaurante y lo primero que vea en la carta es una hamburguesa. En eso fallan la mayoría de establecimientos de comida en Venezuela.
Al llegar el restaurante estaba prácticamente vacío, era un poco temprano después de todo. Lo mejor es que teníamos todo el sitio para nosotros. La atención también fue algo destacable, amena y cálida. Me sentía en casa, el mesero fue muy educado con cada uno de nosotros.

En ésta ocasión pedimos para almorzar, un pollo a la brasa, ensalada de gallina, arepas venezolanas fritas, papitas y ensalada de gallina.
El pollo era uno entero, estaba muy bien cocido. No tuvimos que esperar mucho, el pedido llegó muy rápido. El pollo estaba muy bien cocido. La ensalada si no me gustó mucho, creo que le faltaba algo.
En el caso de las papitas, destaco la presentación y como las sirvieron. Me gustó. La comida era perfecta porqué se podía comer combinadamente con la guasacaca.
