RE: Tenthredinidae - little yellow worm thing

Somehow it's good that our state pays, but somehow not. I just need to think of my parents neighbor who is a few years younger than I am. He hasn't been working since he moved there to his girlfriend about 15 years ago, and he has no wish to work. He even drives a Jaguar and calls the working people stupid. It's a shame, but I think that are the disadvantages of a wellfare state.

Of course, after this program which is mainly for the youth, there are other programs, but we hope that they will find something for him.

Sort:

I really don't agree with your system at all Sir Johann.
The man is a bum and he has got the cheeck to belittle honest hard working people.
Pity he doesn't live here , as that Jaguar will lose it's wheels very quickly.
A person like that I wouldn't even give the time of the day.

Yeah, something more permanent from them for your son would be ideal.

Cheers and thank you!

That's the system. If you know what to do it's easy, but you have to be aware to hear the same as you said from many people every day.

I wonder what that does to his sub-conscience?
To know that he is regarded by many to be a lazy rip off.
Surely he cannot have much pride, or maybe he has deteriorated to such an extent that he doesn't care about the honor of his name anymore.
I presume that he is also not a friend of yours?

Cheers and thank you!

Oh no, he's no friend. I wouldn't give such people any money.
They'd get free food and living, but no alcohol and no cigarettes and such.

I think he wanted to find work in the first months of unemployment, but then he got used of it and has realized that he can have an easy life that way. His girlfriend or now his wife works by the way 😉

We have the same problem here my friend.
A few attempts to find jobs at the beginning and after a year or two, they don't want to work anymore.
It is a type of surrender and the problems then begin in the idle time that they have.

Over here we call that man's girlfriend a "sugar mommy" as she gets him all that he wants.
It is normally a very unequal relationship and in case of an argument the woman is the boss.
I can't talk for all, but such is the experiences that we have had in the charity field.

We supported a lady that had an adult son that was very lazy and he sat around with his bad friends every day. The mom worked, but she said that she didn't earn enough and her son was a burden as he didn't work.
Well, I spoke to the son and we upskilled him in basic computer literacy. He left with a certificate and promised that he would find a job. Sadly not to be as the next day he was back with his mates,

Then the lady changed her weekly list of food requirements that we supplied and all of a sudden she wanted lipstick and cigarettes.
So we stopped supplying her.

During this time we supported her from our own small salaries and we realised that it was all a con. She wanted us to prop up her son.

Such is life my friend.

Cheers and thank you!

As said, he is not my friend and I don't know his wife very well, but the rest of the family is nice and they all work well. "Sugar mommy" sounds nice and she certainly supports him a lot, because he doesn't get that much from the government to afford his lifestyle.

That's a story for a tv show and I bet you have been quite upset. Such is life, but cheating at non-profit organisations who only help others is nothing I would not just accept that, but I suppose she would ignore every word you say.

Sad, but such is life, as you say.

Cheers and !BEER

Well, it normally ends at one time or another. Maybe she keeps him for company, who knows. But I don't think that she could be very proud of him.

We have many times been cheated my friend, even by the very same people that we feed.
But, I call it all school fees, as for the past 20 years we have picked up a ton of experience. What I have learned is that some people will never change, no matter what you do for them and it is balanced by the ones that do change.
A great feeling is when a guy that came to us barefooted and hopeless, afterwards drive past us in his own old car and he can feed his family. That's what I call change.

Cheers and thanks!
