This is a sad story, which of course could also happen here, and I'm sure such stories happen everywhere all the time: there are people who want to help, but the youngster thinks he doesn't need help. The youth today is somehow very different from when we were young, I think.
As said, we try to do our best, but sometimes it's not easy 😉
Cheers and !BEER my friend 🙂
Yes, you are correct Sir Johann, there are thousands of these stories accross the globe and even worse ones.
Every time that I read one, I see that drugs are involved.
The thought is that the youth of today are not as active as the youth of the past, especially due to their IT addictions and they are easy prey for the drug salesmen.
Many of them even brag online about the highs and lows that they experience from taking one or another kind of drug and this also influences others.
You are right in that the youngsters do not want help and if they are pushed to leave the habits they become devious and do it in secret.
Some of them also start stealing and selling stuff from their homes in order to suport their drug habits.
A sad story indeed and the dealers are even active at primary schools.
One can only try the best as a parent and love is so essential. Of course at times things don't go smoothly due to opposing views, but such is life my friend.
Cheers and thank you!
Yes, what you are telling is about the same everywhere and my suggestion would be tougher punishments for the dealers as well as also for the kids, who are the victims, I know, but I think the fear of harsh punishments might scare off many. Maybe I'm wrong, because I don't know any drug addicts and because I have never tried any drugs apart from alcohol, which is a bad drug too.
As much as I love the computer stuff and the Internet myself, I also hate it, because the kids could live for a while without eating and drinking, but without their smartphone they are lost.
Cheers and !BEER
For some reason the heads are not touched and it's only news about the couriers that are arrested. A big concern Sir Johann, as the drugs destroy many young lives. Harsher penalties will only drive it deeper underground and they will invent other ways to distribute it. We are in real trouble as far as drugs are concerned.
So glad that we never had smartphones when we were kids Lol.
Cheers and thanks.
Right, the heads are always somewhere else on a safe place. They are always one step in front of the police and I think corruption plays a role too.
In the first years we didn't even have a tv, but this was normal for us - just as normal as sadly the smartphones are normal for the kids today.
Cheers and !BEER
So right about that my friend.
Yeah, no TV and still switchboard operators for old telephone calls.
As kids we were never allowed to touch the phone hahaha.
As a boy, I had to do my homework after school and then get out of the house until my mom returned for work.
The poor woman was the hardest worker that I have ever seen. Had her mother and 3 children to support alone.
Tough times indeed.
Cheers and thank you!
Your childhood was a few years before mine, so we didn't have operators anymore ;) lol
If a mother would get paid what she deserves she'd earn much more than any man, especially single mothers are great, also nowadays.
But I think in the old times when you were a kid it has been even harder for women without a man to survive and raise the kids to become good adults ;)
Cheers and !BEER
Yes indeed, Rita (my mom) at times worked double shifts at the printing company where she worked.
She was the youngest woman in the country to become a printing foreman.
Yet, she was paid 50% less than the male foremen. And she had no say in it, as that was the way it was at the time. Many nights I had to hear her cry in her bed, and I will always remember it. There was no government assistance. My gran earned a small pension, which also helped a little bit; but my mother taught all of us, how to make things in life on our own. She was indeed a heroic person, never asked anyone for anything...and just did her own thing.
We were not treated well as children by the neighbours, as my mom was a good looking divorcee, and the women were scared that their husbands would try to go for my mom. So they didn't want their children to play with us, or to have anything to do with us. Just the way things worked out.
Cheers, and thank you.
