So strange as I also covered a new wildfire that started early this evening, but the sun had gone down already.
Take care my friend!

Thanks @papilloncharity 😊
Indeed strange… looks like the wildfire season already started. It’s early for here. And you guys have winter.
Sunset now… with the smoke. I can see the fire trucks/ lights etc. but the photo doesn’t pick up on them.

As long as it stays behind that hill… there are no houses. If it goes over in any direction there are houses.
Is it close by?
Take care too!
Our fire is 6b kilometers away and I see that you photos are very good.

The worry is that if a strong wind starts, then that fire will run into the winelands.
Carnage this morning.

That’s a shame… here it’s also chaos.
They are still flying on and off.
Have some night photos:

About 4:00am

And the area around 1900h now how large it is.

I think it is about 7 km away only…
Looks terrible and I hope that they can control that fire soon.
Amazingly our fire is 6 km away from our home, but thankfully the wind is still blowing into the opposite direction.
I also posted day 2 of our fire today.
Take care my friend.
This morning they called it controlled, so still need to extinguish it further. But I just checked the app and in other places new fires are starting on the ridge opposite it. I hear new planes and helicopters going up to there.
Will have a look.Thanks @papilloncharity you too take care 🤗🤗 scary things…
You will see that overnight we had a new very strong wind that blew that fire afresh all over the place. So all of the hard work since Wednesday was undone and now we are back at square one. 200 plus firefighters at work, but no air support as the wind is too strong.
Continue to take care my friend.

O my… such a devastation and it started a new.
So sad to hear. Crazy times.
Here it’s also still ongoing. New areas lid up, this time next to houses. They are trying their best to save them.
Take care @papilloncharity
Thanks 😊 much appreciated!
