RE: Who Would You Like to See Win the US Presidential Election - Trump or Harris? Go On Be Brave!

in Hive Polls4 months ago

Hey @buttcoins thank you so much for expanding on your thoughts like that, I really appreciate it. Obviously I don't have that US citizen gone globetrotting insight that you have and I can totally appreciate what you're saying in that voting for Harris makes life a little easier for you in terms of awkward conversations. And when it comes to politics you have to be country minded and selfish too, so be selfish!

However, the biggest indicator that Trump is something different and positive different and not as bad as everyone makes him out to be is the fact that during Trump's tenure as US president the world was a more peaceful place. No new global conflicts emerged for the first time in decades and a couple were even diffused, Trump even tried to bring in North Korea from out of the cold.

For me that is huge. As you can see I am all about the peace. So when Trump says he can sort out the Russia Ukraine war in a day no he can't but what he's saying is he will quickly sort it out through diplomacy and end the horrible bombing and killing of innocent civilians, and do you know what? I believe him because he has a track record of deal making and conflict resolution. He likes the peace.

Do you not find it just a little strange that as soon as the establishment politician is back in the White House we have two new major conflicts in the world? That's no coincidence. These establishment politicians like Biden and Harris always need the war machine to be well oiled and fully functioning.

Sort:

That’s a fair argument. Though I’m not sure how much Trump really had to do with that.
I can empathize with the idea of a candidate that will bring more world wide peace is better.
I just don’t buy that this is what Trump represents.
On the home front, he causes more families to go into conflict than any politician in many years. His rhetoric is division and violence at its core.
Again, I’ll repeat that I won’t be voting for Kamala.
But I do think she will represent more stability for America and the world.
Truth is they are both a double headed monster in this land debate.
That we talk about either of them shows how fucked we all are.
Anyone who wants to be a politician in any country should automatically be disqualified in my view.
Politicians should be the respected people who don’t want to be politicians but their towns people oblige them to lead because of the truth in their nature.
Haha, good luck with that one buttcoins
