Hello community, this week our Spot Light artist @lisbeth26 proposes that we tackle the topic of prejudice. That is why I chose to participate with "Piel de Ángel" (Angel Skin) by Camilo Sesto, a song in which a couple, who recognize themselves as "the favorite conversation of people who think they are perfect", that is, the center of gossip, of their town or their social circle, is forced to meet secretly because of the prejudices that those around them have against their relationship. The lyrics do not imply what they cross out in their relationship and leaves it to the free interpretation of each one to imagine what happens. This makes the song adapt to many cases that come to mind when listening to it.
Camilo Sesto, the well-known Spanish performer and composer with a prodigious voice who moved to another plane in 2019 left us many beautiful songs and was a very popular figure in the 70s with his ballads and his privileged and unmistakable voice.
