Wow, that is pretty crazy that it got that warm! We have about six people we can really count as close friends that we would maybe have over. That doesn't include family. We used to have New Years parties but it was never more than twenty people I don't think.

We have a decent amount of family that is included in that number. We have a core group of friends that we are very blessed to have. Not a ton, but just enough to brighten our lives.
Ah, okay, that makes more sense then. You are probably right, if we invited our brothers and sisters and their spouses then it would probably be closer to 30. I'm not sure where we would fit them all in our current house though!
There ya go. See you do know lots of people. lol
Lucky we have a decent amount of room here. Nothing too over the top, but too much for two people and a dog most of the year. hehe. We thought about downsizing a few years ago, but it would cost us the same to build smaller. We decided just to stay put and enjoy the water views that we would otherwise be giving up. We'll make a move after retirement.. whenever that comes.
Yeah, that sounds about like us. We still plan on moving before too long, but I am not sure if we are going to build or what. The good thing about building even though it is more expensive is you can get it the way you want and hopefully some of those "gotcha" issues aren't there. You never can tell though. Our house is small at 1600 square feet or so, but a lot of the space is wasted. I just want a larger living room where people can gather. The rest of the house can be small beyond that. Except maybe the kitchen. A spacious kitchen would be nice too.
I agree. We put a lot of money into our home when we built and the most of it was spent in the kitchen. We spend most of our awake time in the kitchen and family room.
That makes a lot of sense.
