the idea of writing about retirement was a little offputting to me...
Hehe, I totally understand. I at some point in the past had those feelings about the topic, but then I understood that the point was that I would never fit into the classic definition of retirement.
I was forced to reinvent myself by the circumstances of life and the country, but looking back I'm glad it happened because I would be very unhappy with my life of still working in an office most of the day and missing out on the wonderful little things going on around me.

Exactly! I think reading people's posts... it is clear that most do not see themselves going down the route of traditional retirement... and I guess that's because, at heart, we are all dreemers and silvers hehe - might I even add adventurers of life!!! I need to get out of the office job at some point and find something that inspires me and brings me joy! This challenge really got me thinking in the end !LUV !ALIVE !Hug
