Tam kde jsou rybníky, je pochop vcelku běžně vidět. Většinou jak poletuje nad rákosím, loukou nebo polemi. Když ho pozorujete jak létá, tak si jméno moták zaslouží. Nad hlavou ovšem přeletí málokdy. Kroužení vysoko nad krajinou je spíš pro káňata.
Where there are ponds, harrier is quite common. Mostly as it flies over reeds, meadows or fields. However, it rarely flies overhead. Circling high above the landscape is more for buzzards.
