On one of my trips to the "March" River in eastern Austria I was able to take some pictures of the black stork that was flying above our hide in the plains there. Me and Stefan took several pictures of the two birds that flew above us and the birds circled around us for several minutes before they flew off. I have to say that the white stork is much more common here and usually there are a lot fewer black storks that can be seen here. That's why I was really excited about the birds appearance and till now I only could find it a second time here on another spot. They are breeding in the wetlands of the March and Thaya and can be found here during the summer time. These are pretty big and mayestetic birds and when they fly above your head it can be very impressive.
