Pied Advocet on a short stop in Upper Austria

in Feathered Friends2 years ago

In Upper Austria it is a rather rare sight to see this bird. Usually I only find it at the Lake Neusiedler when I visit it in late spring and summer. But This specimen took a short break in Upper Austria and I had the luck to find it during this time. Me and Stefan were on a photography trip on the weekend and we managed to get several pictures of the bird. It was looking for food in the shallow water and in the sand. It is the first bird of this species I found here in Upper Austria Usually I only find them in Burgenland in Eastern Austria and there they stay for much longer. Nearly during the whole summer.
