Very Sucessfull Weekend with the White Tailed Eagle and other birds

in Feathered Friends2 years ago (edited)

This weekend and the last two days of the week I spend on a photography trip with Stefan in Lower Austria and we where lucky again and could take several nice pictures of birds. The white Tailed Eagle and the imperial eagle where the most impressive ones we saw there once again. Like last spring we where also able to take several nice pictures of the Eagles there. This time I was impressed how close they came and how fast they are. But I am very greatfull that I could experience the flight of this beautiful bird there. Since the birds are nesting nearby there is a great chance of seeing them at the plains where we waited for it and we were not dissapointed by them.

It is always amazing when such a big bird is flying just a few meters above you head. And Stefan and I could take several pictures of this beautiful bird. But Since it is only there for seconds there is always pretty much luck involved to stand on the right spot to get a very close picture like these ones.

Wow! Here is an amazing photo booty! Congratulations! Oh, and he is ringed!

Yes I love it. I wish I would live there and could be there all year long but it is 3 hours car drive from my home and I am visiting this place twice a year. Once in Spring and once in Autumn like now.

They are beautiful :) I see bands on both legs of one of them?

Yes both legs.

What is the reason? I have heard of putting one band on for research, but never two.
