Watching their nest in the Guava tree every day, waiting for a new youngster or two to pop their heads up, but not yet Lady Joan. Funny thing that I see, is that the doves, thrushes and mossies all have dust baths here in the plant beddings. But not the white eyes or the robins,
I also got a glimpse and a brief shot of an African Paradise Flycatcher.

I posted about the African Paradise Flycatchers last year and and hope that they will visit us again.

Blessings and thank you!

Doves take dust bath here, others birds normally go for the running fountain/bird bath in the garden, it's placed under kitchen window and difficult to capture photos of them. Always nice to see them enjoying a swim with extra rocks inside for them to hop onto.

Guava trees around here were all stripped out as supposedly obnoxious plants so we have none in the surrounding area anymore.

African Paradise Flycatcher I photographed just before going on leave I have so many bird photographed still to be shared, never enough time in the day!

Have yourself a good day and hope your back is feeling a bit better.

We have a young guava tree here that has not had any fruit yet.
Mistake is that nobody pruned the tree and it was pushing most of its growth into the the low branches. I cleared the trunk of all the lower branches and now in a season or two it should bear fruit!

Yeah, the Berg has tons of birds and I was thinking that you should have many photos.
Sure to bring you many fond memories.

Blessings!
