Cormorant is a clever bird as can be seen by appearances knowing the hand that feeds him.
Over here in South Africa ours are black or darker colouration with no white, fondly referred to sometimes as the sea crows.

We don't get them up the East Coast of South Africa, they live more south in the Cape region. On occasion we do have them visiting though.
