With everything that is happening here these days I find myself on Twitter and at Town Halls instead of doing my favorite Steem activities! I need to do some catching up!
We had a bit of snow early yesterday that quickly melted as the day got warmer. I saw my first Robin of the season, which is always a hopeful sign that Spring is getting closer!
American Robin
Although their normal diet consists of insects, berries and earthworms, this one was hungry enough to stop by and eat a few seeds at the feeder.
This little Goldfinch was keeping a close watch on the Robin.

I've noticed that the Robins here will go for seeds at the end of winter, lack of bugs, berries, and worms I imagine. Nuts and seeds are a good alternate protein source for them.
The rest of the year they don't seem to touch the seeds.BURRRR Looks cold there still @MELINDA010100
Still cold at night, but into the 40s during the afternoon. I'm not complaining! I did put out some apple slices for the poor guy.

We have been having warm weather off and on and we saw a flock of Robins come through last week as well. Some of my tulip points have popped through the mulch and the sparrows are claiming their nesting boxes already. It is almost here, yay. Have a great weekend Melinda.
It really wasn't that bad of a winter, but I miss green so much that I can't wait for those first bits of green! Hope your weekend is great, too!

Wow! Robins already! It will be awhile before we see any robins but we did have a member of the finch family, the Redpoll, coming through en mass!

The chipmunks reappeared this weekend. It's so funny, they run right up to Alli like they just saw her yesterday. I suppose when you go to sleep for 4months, it was just yesterday to them!
