Welcome to #SMaP Show Me A Photo Contest Round 114!
NESTING as a prompt and this is the right time for the Northern hemisphere where the spring is in full swing with all the birds returned from the South and started building their homes. Some use the old nests, rebuilding them. Others - making new ones.Before my holiday, @qwerrie suggested to use
The house martins are back to their old nests, above the entrance of the post office.
To enter the contest this round, you can show me also pictures of old, empty nests or birds collecting matetial for their homes. Scroll down to see my examples.
Please be carefull when you photograph birds in their nests. Make sure you are in fair distance, not to disturb the birds and not to attract the predators. This is crucial time for the birds and for the sake of the photo, do not endanger them. This is just a word of advice and I believe you will be really carefull.

Here are some old nests, I think they belong to magpies.
And a sparrow with some building material.

- You may add more photos, but you should state which one is your entry, otherwise the first will be taken into account.
- Tell us something about your photo/s.
- Your photo must follow the weekly theme.

- Put in the title of your post that this is an entry for the contest. (Optional)

If you create quality post with more images and interesting story about them, making extra effort can give you bigger upvotes and attract curators. Keep that in mind.

Oh I think I will join this one. Nesting is always exciting. Of course we're in winter in SA but the bizarre weather has confused the birds and we have some with hatchlings.

Weather is crazy everywhere. Our spring is rather cold. Last days we feel it like it should be, suns is out and it is much warmer.
And here it is! I just couldn't decide on any one particular picture. The top two are my favourite .... but you decide
