Hi there,
If you follow my posts in Feathered Friends Community, you would know that I always stop by the fountain in the park, where different birds quench their thirst. Today a magpie stopped by the water and all I did were three shots before it took off.
Magpies done let me approach them, usually they fly away quickly. Today I was glad I managed more detailed photos of this shy bird.
Another representative of the corvidae family, the hooded crow has found something in the grass. If you look carefully you can see it in the beak.
These last days I haven't seen much and my photos are just a few. Most of the birds has gone south. Of course, we always have plenty of seagulls, crows, jackdaws, pigeons, doves, magpies, tits, sparrows. I cannot say they will be no birds to photograph. I am expecting finches, kinglets, wrens and robins to come back.
Till then, let me look at my old photos and what I could share.
Here is a flycatcher. Rather simple appearance, easily mistaken with sparrows for untrained eye.
And this is one rather unusual seagull. Look at the beak. I have never seen anything like that. No idea if it was born as such. And how on earth this bird eats?
I will finish with the fountain, but with bunch of sparrows. Every bird is welcomed here.
Wish you all a lovely weekend!
Happy birding!

I haven't seen this seagull ever since. I really don't know how the bird manages with the food.
Feel free to use any photo. 🙂 I am happy to be helpful.
