As soon as it got warmer, flycatchers began to appear at the edge of the forest. This year they are not the same as last year. They used to sit on small trees and when they saw prey they grabbed it and sat on another small tree. This year, flycatchers mostly sit on the branches of large trees and, having grabbed a flying mosquito, sit down on this tree again.
Last year you could get quite close to the flycatchers and take a picture of them. But this year, the flycatchers keep a considerable distance and do not let anyone in. To photograph this flycatcher, I had to run after it. But still. As soon as I approached, she flew away.
So I followed her from tree to tree until I got tired. Decided not to go anymore. I found a tree with thick branches and stood behind the trunk and did not move. I was hoping that the flycatcher would fly by itself. And so it happened. After some time, the flycatcher sat on a branch of a neighboring tree.
I started watching her. She patiently waited for any small living creatures to fly past her. She fell off the branch, grabbed it and again sat on this branch. And it all started all over again.
It was very interesting to see this flycatcher hunting for flying insects. It looks like she hasn't had any chicks yet. She ate herself all the mosquitoes she caught flying by. Fortunately, with the onset of heat, mosquitoes appeared in the forest a lot. Moreover, there was a river nearby. This contributed to the increase in the number of mosquitoe
Flycatcher vigilantly watched around the place where she sat for flying mosquitoes. She paid almost no attention to me. Moreover, the branches of the tree masked me.
I was pleased that I saw this flycatcher. Although I spent a lot of time taking pictures of her.
