According to the calendar, the beginning of spring. But after a brief warming, it became cool again. It's snowing often. The ground in open spaces is covered with a crust of ice. Birds have a hard time getting their own food. Today I walk through the park and see how a jackdaw sits on a mountain ash and eats rowan berries.
This year, a lot of rowan berries were born. Although it is already spring, there are still many berries left on the mountain ash. The juicy red berries look very tasty. Apparently the birds, not finding food for themselves, began to eat these berries.
Of course food is hard right now. Therefore, the birds are glad that they can eat rowan berries. Although it must be said that jackdaws rarely eat rowan berries. They seem to be hungry right now.
It's good that there are still a lot of rowan berries left. This is certainly not very good food for them, but you can eat them.
This year I often saw when rooks and magpies ate rowan berries in winter. Although, as a rule, they do not eat rowan berries.
Nevertheless, even jackdaws began to use rowan berries. They sit on a branch with berries. Then they get close to the bunches and pluck the berries. Then they press the berries with their paws to the net and begin to peck them.
There are seeds inside the rowan berries. Perhaps birds like them too. Jackdaws do not swallow berries whole. They peck at the berries and eat the insides of the berries.
It’s good that warm weather will come soon and it will be easier for the birds to find food for themselves.
Here you can clearly see how a jackdaw pecks at rowan berries.

До чего же они красивы! У нас к сожалению они лишь пролётом.
Они довольно разнообразны. Есть красивые, а есть не очень. Взлохмаченные и перья е них тёмно-серые.
