Pied flycatcher

in Feathered Friends3 years ago

Today I saw a new bird in the forest. This is a pied flycatcher. I had never seen them before. But this year, there have been a few. Unfortunately, this bird turned out to be very shy. Never got close to her.

Earlier in this place I managed to see gray flycatchers. But this year, none have been seen. They probably haven't arrived yet. They will probably show up when the weather warms up. But it's good that the pied flycatchers have arrived. These are new birds.

They do not differ much from the gray flycatchers, not only in the color of their plumage. Pied flycatchers can often be seen clinging to tree trunks and looking for insects in the crevices of the car. The gray flycatchers did not.

However, they, like gray flycatchers, sit on tree branches and watch for insects flying by. Their flight differs from the gray flycatchers in that they have much larger circles and they chase flying insects.

Gray flycatchers usually make a circle and, having caught insects, sit down again on the branch on which they sat earlier and again begin to guard their prey. the pied flycatcher always sits on another branch and again begins to watch for insects flying by.

Too bad they are very shy. Any movement of foreign objects frightens them. Perhaps gradually they will get used to people and then it will be possible to photograph them closer. I hope that I will be able to take better photos.

But still. It is a great pleasure for me to photograph these new birds.

Хм, значит и у нас они уже должны прилететь. Во вторник надо сходить в лес.
