This year we have a lot of starlings. They try to stick to the outskirts of the city, as well as settle in the large parks of the city.
They gather in small flocks of 3 to 7 individuals. While some are busy looking for food, one or two are watching the area.
I have found that the easiest way to photograph starlings is when they are out of the flock. Lonely starlings can be approached. When starlings are in a flock, it is worth the starling, which is watching to emit a loud cry, as the whole flock rises into the air and fly away.
Therefore, I try to choose lonely starlings.
If you do not move, then the starling ceases to pay attention to you and you can slowly take a position with a good angle.
I know where starlings live. I take some food for them with me and scatter it in the clearing. I step aside and wait for them to fly closer.
True, sometimes other birds fly up to this food and I am lucky to take some good photos.
You just need to be patient and not rush, do not make sudden movements so as not to scare away the birds.
I have a lot of starlings around this year, too. Your photos show just how beautiful they are.
Many thanks. Glad you like my photos.
Very nice starling shots
