Sparrows in autumn

in Feathered Friends2 years ago (edited)

With the beginning of autumn, sparrows begin to gather in flocks. Sometimes there are quite a lot of them in one place. The hubbub from their voices is heard very far away.

Therefore, they are easy to see. And they gather in small parks or squares. Especially in those places where there are a lot of undersized shrubs. When threatened, they hide in the canopy of trees.

Sometimes you walk by. The hubbub of sparrows is heard well but they are not visible. All of them hid between the branches of trees and they are not immediately visible. However, they are difficult to photograph. Tree branches make focusing difficult.

However, when they jump on the ground, you can get quite close to them. If you stand still, then the sparrows themselves can jump at arm's length.

Sometimes there are so many sparrows that they sit in clusters on a bush and even branches break from their weight. But this happens unfortunately very rarely.

They gather in such flocks only in autumn. It is possible that they fly somewhere where in winter where the climate is warmer. However, not all sparrows fly away. Many of them remain for the winter.

However, there are no large flocks anymore. As a rule, these are loners or several individuals. Most of all, sparrows are found in pairs in winter.

Apparently they fly away from the fact that in winter it is difficult to find food in sufficient quantities. The most persistent and accustomed to wintering constantly remain.

У нас полевые воробьи тоже объединились с домовыми воробьями. На окраине, в парке, видел их вместе.
