You will always hear a Blue Jay before you see him/her, they are know to sound alarms or screech to send other birds away from the feeder when they arrive. I always hear them before I see them and have had quite a hard time getting good photos of them. When I hear one I quickly run out with my camera in hand as the swoop down and take the peanut whole then fly quickly away. It is very tricky to keep shelled peanuts out for these guys 'cause the squirrels love peanuts also. I've had a few good days of getting some pictures of them. It has been unseasonably warm so I have been able to sit outside stalking them 😉. I hope you enjoy these beauties their color is stunning and I just love them.

STOPWonderful bluejay photos! I don't have hardly any around here this winter and it is very odd. There were so many here the fall and then they seemed to disappear. Maybe they went to your house! 😁
I don't have many they seem to come and go, I leave shelled peanuts for them everyday, if they don't show up the squirrels eat them 😂
