Well, it's time for a story about my new outing to nature. I decided to visit the coastal forest on the outskirts of the city. I have not been here since last October. Due to the stupid virus and quarantine, I missed the most bird time, and already demoralized I went to the forest in advance.

Here is a photo from the beginning of this place.
Yes, it’s quite crowded (by my standards), the so-called “health path” is nearby, sometimes a small number of athletes run around here, ride bicycles. And therefore, in connection with this situation, wearing a serious masking camouflage suit does not make sense, therefore, i put on a light camouflage.
The first animal I met was a squirrel. As you can see, her fur coat is still gray.

It turned out a funny photo, as if she was sitting enjoying the spring sun :)
Going down the hill I was met by the familiar spring bird of our forests - The willow warbler

Jumped through the bush and sang a song.
And on the opposite side of the bushes came a sonorous long song.

I immediately recognized the singer by the first sounds - The common whitethroat. But the singer himself did not show up, so I had to turn on the voice of this birds on my smartwatch. By the way, yes, my bluetooth speaker is broken, so I had to be content with what I have. Fortunately, my samsung galaxy watch has a speaker, although it is not loud, but it works. Hearing the sounds, the bird became interested and jumped out of the bushes.

After passing 40 meters, I heard the familiar "heart-rending" sounds of Eurasian wryneck. She was not alone, another was hiding in the bushes, a female.
Some time passed, I almost reached my favorite place. This is a ravine, where bushes and thickets grow in it, and a small spring also flows (why are the words spring (stream) and spring (season) written the same?).
And then I heard an unusual sound. Something between croaking, groaning and grunting. I looked up andsee how Swinhoe's snipe flew high in the sky.

In a previous post, I said that I met him, but could not take a picture. But now I have succeeded! It took a lot of time, and luck. He very successfully sat on a branch to show himself to his female. Here I photographed him, and also shot a video. I stood far from him. But as soon as I approached him, he began to groan.
Having walked to the edge of the cliff, I finally met the one whom I admire, and who it was here that I followed - The common kingfisher.

Yeah, I adore these guys! Watching them is a pleasure! A bird of wonderful beauty and brightness. And a clever fisherman! ...ummm..of course! fisherBIRD!
But it was quite difficult to take at least some pictures, firstly, the sun hid behind the clouds and it became dark, and secondly, this place is dark in itself. I'm not joking, I spent 2 hours in this ravine to take good pictures. But I do not complain, I repeat again, it is a great pleasure to watch these birds :)
Yes, the photo that you see is of poor quality. This is because I posted screenshots of raw files. Then in the future I will process it in the editor and bring it back to normal.

Yes, I lured these birds to the sound. And I saw them two. Male and female. The male often flew in the direction of the river to hunt for fish, then to treat the female.
And of course, I found their hole! Every year in this area I find their burrows, and this is a rather rare case. Few saw their holes. But I'm lucky.

Well, I spent a really long time in this place, and I probably already got tired of them. Therefore, i moved on.
Met on a tree The Eurasian nuthatch

He managed to catch some moth, and he literally chopped it into pieces.
Next, I decided to relax and sat on a log. But this didn’t work, the The redwing thrush suddenly came flying with a worm in its beak, and I had to grab the camera. That's all. After resting, I went home.

I hope you enjoyed it!
So many cool photos. Sounds like a great birdwatching session!
Thanks! :)
Exciting to get good pictures of birds you rarely see. Nice job... 😊
You captured a shot of some great looking birds. The snipe is an interesting bird and the kingfisher has lovely colors on the feathers.
I had to chuckle at the squirrel.
I always love seeing your photos! This is a great post. Thanks for posting to #featheredfriends. !tip
