🦉 The yellowhammer (Emberiza citrinella)

- citrinella citrine (lat.) yellow; citrinella (Italian) yellow bird
For some reason, these birds are few in number in my city, but stable. They can be found in the same places every year. And as a rule, this is a forest near the river, and on the other side there is a shrub area near the lake. And I’ll say even more, in this forest there is a ravine and a tree, where every spring a male flies and sings a song.
If you search Google for pictures of these birds, you can see yellowheads with virtually no spots. I haven’t seen one like this in my city; here they all have brown stripes on the face and neck. These birds can interbreed with other species of birds in this family. And so-called “morphs” are also possible.
