🦉 The Oriental turtle dove or rufous turtle dove (Streptopelia orientalis)

Yes, for someone it may be an unremarkable bird that lives on their street or in a park, but for me, and the residents of my region and city, this is an unusually rare bird. Three years ago, this bird was even included in the region’s Red Book as a rare species.
I met her in a mixed forest, quite remote at that, despite the fact that these birds avoid such places. She walked through the dry grass, apparently looking for old fallen seeds from the trees. When the bird saw me it got scared and flew up into a tree from where it looked at me.
