🦉 The Eurasian treecreeper or common treecreeper (Certhia familiaris)

• Certhia (Greek): kerthios - a small bird crawling through the trees, mentioned by Aristotle
• familiaris (lat.): common, easily recognizable

It would seem that a bird with such plumage should be practically invisible on a tree, but this is not so, because the bird is constantly in motion. And this small nimble bird moves along the tree trunk in a spiral, from bottom to top.

Since the birds are sedentary, they have a very hard time in winter, because they are almost entirely insectivorous. Therefore, in order to somehow survive, they are forced to eat small seeds of pine, spruce and other plants.
